All aboard the Alex Scott hype train

The odds of Porro being viewed as a RB are literally zero. The guy is not a good defender at all, and we have a very good RB in Royal and another very good potential one in Spence - the exact kind of player Ange is keen to develop.

As for Scott you also have to consider other teams interest in him, West Ham have apparently spoken to his representatives and if they or others firm up their bids our hand might be forced if we do actually want him. This is the crazy world of a transfer window, it's not as black and white as just prioritising with a nice little timetable set out - you have to be flexible....

Agree If we play a 4 there is no way in the world Porro plays as a RB, he has never been that and was barely a RWB TBH. RW or RF for sure and adds value there.

Not sure if people are setting themselves up for a fall with Scott here. Hardly linked as others seem more deeply in the process (if press is to be believed) I don't see us going for him now personally but again could be wrong, just feels some have placed alot of their hope on this one and will be down the tooth about it when it don't happen

You know Gutterboy will be having a cry about it.

Getting rid of some players on big wages will free up some funds. Although, not sure what Maddison is getting

Agree. We'll sign 2 CBs first, so call that £50m min, and then I'd say that a back-up RW and number 6 would probably be higher priority

Couldn’t Kulu and Porro cover RW, with Son, Richy and Gil doing a job to cover in emergencies? Would that be enough?

(Royal, Spence, Porro as RB options)
