Watching the recording is simply not the same as watching it live ! When you watch it live, you are excited with the knowledge you are watching it live with the rest of the world. That feeling is missing when you watch the recording and that makes it boring. But one good thing about the recordings is that you can fast forward the boring aspects from that match like injuries, stoppage time and multiple TV replays.;)

Everybody dance now!

Wish Alderweireld and Wanyama are fit for this match. We would have a much better chance to beat ManCity if they are playing. We will need all our available players to step up their game and give their best in this match. It is going to be a tense match. It will help us greatly if we can score an early goal. A draw won't be a bad result but let's hope we will do just enough to beat ManCity and move closer to the top of the league.

Not a problem for me. Just make sure not to find out result before watching then sit back and enjoy.

Yeah, I can't watch recordings of matches either, at some point I always go "fudge this, the result is out there, I need to know". :p

I know, hilarious. It is odd. I've been up there and the old Maine Road many times...once at Maine Road, my seat was across the divide. One bloke kept on screaming 'fat roosterney clams' at me and a couple of mates, throwing 50ps too (we collected enough for a round). He was finally escorted out by the police; bloke was about 350lbs!!!! oh how we laughed...good memories of the Cup Final replay too, massive footie in the car parks as we queued for replay tix...
 
I find it a bit odd that they hate us so much. Of the other teams up in the top I have to concede that City is the team I dislike the least. I'd rather them win the league than any of those other fudgers, to be honest. Sure, they're financially doped, but ... I don't know, whenever I think of Emirates Marketing Project, I still think of Shaun Goater and that bald guy that used to play in central defense for Villa. :p

We have our best record against them hence why they hate us

They literally couldn’t buy a win against us so just brought a whole new team

Their fans were sound as a pound. I met a load the day before they played Gillingham in the play off final and they were a great laugh.

I’ve also met loads of their old players and directors through work at Maine Road and again they were brilliant

Since the new found wealth an arrogance and a defensiveness has kicked in...which I get as they constantly get berated due to the money they have spent.

What I find most disappointing with city is they have always had a brilliant youth set up but they haven’t brought anyone through since Micah Richards
 
Let’s invoke the same spirit as when we went to AC Milan in the Champions League also with a weakened team iirc - and won 1-0. Same again please!

A draw today would be an excellent result however its achieved. They're on such good form that no-one really gives us a chance....on that basis, we have nothing to lose. We need to get very tight to them in midfield - de Bruyne and Silva need to be hassled every second that they have the ball such that they cant pick passes to their front three. If we do that then I think we can get a result, particularly as I'd fancy Kane, Eriksen, Dele etc against their defence, but if they have time on the ball then its just a question of how many they win by.
 
Emirates Marketing Project are very good a finding holes in the back. We need to be aware of the space around us. When we break we need to take our chances. Especially you Dele who has a habit of missing good chances.

Can't see us getting anything. Let's hope we don't get smashed. An early goal against us and we could be in trouble.
 
I wonder if Poch would consider playing Davies at CB and Rose at LB for this one. Rose's pace will be useful, never seen Davies at CB but he plays there for Wales apparently.
 
About what we would have expected. Draw would be excellent, so Lord knows what a win could be described as.

Think we will get a goal, the problem is, how many will they get?
 
Good line up that, probably what most people would play. Fairly attacking too, wonder if Deli might play a bit deeper, his stamina will be useful in the middle.
 
I think that's our strongest side at the moment. Aurier not stable yet. Needs to mature a little, but in time he will. Big game!!!

But very welcome. Let's hope it's not a cue for Bernardo Silva to have his best game for them, like Mkhitaryan did for Man Utd against us not long ago.
