*** OMT Spurs vs Everton ***

There's absolutely no interpretation of the rules that could argue that Moura's challenge was not a red card. Much like Doucore's.

But you've set out your stall with bizarre misinformation that you'll no doubt not back down from, well done on mastering avoidance and embracing denial.

Just looking at the goal and how the midfield opened for Keane's brick, it's almost as embarrassing as you blaming the ref for us throwing the game away.
Except the one where the ref didn't even give a yellow for the exact same tackle on Perisic.

We have to sack up and play 4-3-3(DM-CM-CM). Get în a world class CB next to Romero, preferably tall, like Bastoni. Hojbjerg and Skipp can handle the DM, Bentancur and Bissouma the box to box CM and we have to buy 2 creative CMs to occupy the other CM place, as we don't have ANY. Maybe Ndombele as a reserve.

Skipp was awful for most of the game tonight.

We were carrying a few players tonight. Skipp wasn't at his best. Normally he's good on the ball, but they roughed him up. Although Perisic does some good things in attack, we do carry him at times. PEH isn't the most brilliant footballer and needs others around him to bring the spark. And Dier is not technically strong to play the ball out. When you have these kinds of limitations it closes off space for the likes of Son.

One positive was Lenglet. Just seems more comfortable now, and we only lost when he was taken off. A woeful sub.

Sarr ultimately ended up costing us the game against Southampton (though IMO it was actually Dier’s terrible bit of defending for Southampton’s 2nd).
It wasn't just Sarr that cost us against Southampton, there were several players responsible.
We're playing against 10 men, we're playing with a back 3 and two defensive midfielders, just take off Son, put Sarr on for the extra man in midfield, and try to control the game. There should be plenty of cover behind Sarr.
Instead, we watch Everton make 4 subs and overrun us in midfield and get a deserved equaliser.

I can understand the stick stellini is getting but it wasnt Stellini who got sent off and it wasnt Stellini tinkling around with the ball and inviting them on to us

The players need to take responsibility on the pitch.
His subs were less than stellar, but I doubt he told the defense to muck about playing pig-in-the-middle inside our own box. We are horrible enough passers as it is, but the level of incompetence in this match was on another level.

If we fail to get 4th, as we most certainly will, get rid of all the deadwood and all the talkers. Poch in, with carte blance to kick out all those who let him down last time, no questions asked. Rebuild. Bring back Gil and build around hungry players. Bring in a de facto playmaker, sell Kane if need be. I'd be happy to see us out of Europe a season or two if that means us building for the future rather than patching up the past. With this core it's proven that it really doesn't matter who the manager is.

That’s exactly what it should be. We’d get no less from the full backs. We’d give up no more chances than we already do. And we’d be able to apply some pressure up the pitch.

Yea that Coleman one on Perisic was exactly the same.

stupid from Moura though in that scenario, it’s clear the ref would be trying to even it up and he can have no complaints at the red.
He's not our most thinky of players. But if the ref sets a standard for certain types of tackles, you can forgive the players for assuming he won't change that standard based on the colour of their shirt.

The subs were fine to be honest in principle, Lenglet was walking a tight rope, already gave a foul away after the yellow so the choice was to drop to a 4 which we haven’t really practiced or play this season or play Sanchez who didn’t really do anything wrong. Also needed to try to pressure their defenders who were pushing forward and Moura is a workhorse, albeit no end product but high press is usually his forte.

neither those excuse the 11 players on the pitch, Lloris who I don’t blame for the goal as that was a worldie and went like a rocket, constantly put our defence under pressure making them drop back until even Holjberg was in the defensive 5 to open up a pass lane. Peresic offered nothing when we were no longer attacking, Dier/Romero and Skipp struggled to find a 5 yard pass and take the sting out giving the ball away time and time again. Kane dropped right back (thus the need for Moura) so no outlet at top. The only one who didn’t really disappoint was Porro although needs to shoot less from dumb angles

To be fair, I actually think it is a key part of Conte/Stellini’s tactics to try and play it out from the back under pressure - we’ve done it constantly under them.

Screaming out for an extra man in midfield weren’t we. What is the adversion to changing formation occasionally? Don’t get it.

Real Madrid can play counter attacking football just fine with the 4-3-3 and command the game when they need to with an extra creative midfielder than us. Don't want to sound smug, especially after tonight, but our team is 2 clever signings away to be in their region.

Modric and Vinicius maybe….

They are negative because we dont have the players to make it positive. Imagine a 4-3-3 with Hojbjerg/Skipp as the DM and Bentancur plus a creative CM next to him. Tonight we had 8 defensive minded players, no wonder a 10 men 18th placed team pushed us în our own box.
Bring on sarr for son
Bring on Danjuma for son
They are better subs than what we did
We brought on players who are allergic to a football

I was just going to say the same.... Stellini is a clone of Conte...

I can't believe what he said in that interview..
