Just a pure deflection play....People protest that they are not ideological and then promptly vote for right wing candidates and parties on a consistent basis.
Based on his calling out of WHO I applaud him
Motive...motive, what was his motive? It wasto distract from the complete incompetence of his own response. Look over there a unicorn.
Would be interesting to know the ages of the other 9%, or are they including old age as an underlying condition?Sky are reporting that 91 percent of UK deaths are from people with at least 1 pre existing medical condition.

Quite literally survival of the fittest.....Sky are reporting that 91 percent of UK deaths are from people with at least 1 pre existing medical condition.

In this country that would likely make the number 100%Also if obesity counts as underlying.
The ONS has, if you don't mind picking apart the data. That was my thought.
They need to give a full breakdown really

It looks to me (quick fudge with figures) that if you include being over 70 as an underlying condition, it increases to over 96%.
In this country that would likely make the number 400%
Greggs-COVID-19Might be why we’re suffering With so many deaths despite not having such an aged population.
The more that comes out the more I think this lock down is going to end sooner than later - we are being held hostage by OAPs dying
Some countries are starting the first stages already, it would take a lot of balls for the UK to say 'Nah, we are gonna be more cautious and stay in lockdown' for too much longer. In countries 2 weeks ahead of the UK curve some types of shops/businesses have been allowed to open again, schools have been given opening dates in the coming g weeks and parks and open areas opened up again with obvious social distance measures in place
I don't think it's unrealistic at all to say we're in isolation for say another 3 weeks until we can be sure that:
and lastly to ensure the NHS are allowed to have a lighter load for a period of time rather than relaxing it instantly, I'm sure they deserve a relax in their shift schedules.
- Cases are flattening out
- Deaths going down
- Supply chain and logistics for PPE are fully established (including reserve stocks)
- Extra ventilators have been delivered
- Processing of registrations by GMC etc for health workers from other countries willing to help out has been done
- Food/supply chains are in place
- Testing is in place (100K per day)
- Some form of contact tracing/app/other solution in place
But in summary yeah I agree beyond another 3 weeks if things go as they seem to be and they can work on the above then it makes sense to look at partial relaxation of things - I really hope the gyms open, lockdown doesn't help the waitline.
