*** Leicester v Tottenham Hotspur OMT ***

It's both. Today (and many previous defeats) was just about mentality. We didn't work as hard or concentrate as much as we did vs City last week. Leicester wanted to win more than we did.
That's both players and managers fault.
Why can't we be consistent?

It's been 'common knowledge' for three windows now, and we only brought a waster in on loan.

Plus, anything done in the summer only works for next season. We needed Dier, Davies, Sanchez and Tanganga sold or just released *two years ago*.

And on top of that, will all of them be replaced, as is the minimum needed to compete again? Nope, because club will not commit to that level of expenditure.

We will have these useless timebombs with us for a long while yet, whoever is in charge. And I guarantee you, they will constantly and unfailingly let down whoever is in charge, and you will probably call for their sacking because of it while these wasters coast on.

It. Isn't. Conte.

At least, not entirely. It is these worthless excuses for footballers.
Same players we’re fine when conte actually coached them last year
He was also motivated then

Who would buy them? Unless we do a Doherty, they are staying. And we still have Regy, Ndom, Winks, and others i cannot be arsed to name

You and I have vastly differing definitions of 'fine', mate.

They were mediocre for half a season, after a truly terrible first half. And that, after being utterly woeful for three years straight in 2018-2019, 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 - this year, they just reverted to form.

No one mate, which is why I said 'sold *or released* - we need to rip their contracts up. Gone on too long at this point.

Disagree mate. They are utterly useless trash, irredeemable wastes that have failed Poch, Mourinho, Nuno and Conte.

I'd take all the ones I mentioned in a heartbeat over these clowns.

If what you say is correct, why hasn't this been addressed by Conte in the threecwindows he has had? Romero was already here and he has only brought in Lenglet on loan. If our CBS were the main problem , why didn't he address this issue first?

I think he asked for them - he asked for a top class LCB, he got some Barcelona reject on loan in Lenglet. I believe he asked for a CB this window as well - got no one.

That's for the LCB position. For CCB...I think he genuinely likes Dier, or he liked him once and now is too proud abd stubborn to admit that he, like every other manager at Spurs, got it wrong on the useless donkey.

That's on Conte.

To me, today looked like an absolutely classic example of players thinking “we beat City; we just need to turn up today and we will win”. I’ve seen some truly awful performances this season but this was the worst by some distance. I cannot think of a single player that can hold his head high after today. They should all be ashamed of their total lack of effort.

I agree - totally on Conte.

I don’t believe he asked for anyone this window as he knows he is leaving
It’s why the club brought a player on loan and a player who could in theory work for any coach
It the redknapp window again
Why back a coach who doesn’t wanna be here

Didn’t watch the game. Not sure what to say really.

Personal opinion but if you know your defence is utter brick, perhaps don’t play 2 CMs in the middle of the pitch?

Our positioning was all over the shop and that CANNOT be solely down to missing Romero. That’s a game plan that’s been pulled apart by the opposition. It’s not a coincidence how CBs were left time and time again one on one, usually very central to the goal.

Lack of defensive shield ahead played a massive part. Said it before but can’t see this formation working in todays game

Sitting on my porcelain throne using Fapatalk

If Bentancur has a bad knee injury ,our midfield is going to be pretty horrific. This game could well be a massive moment in our season.

I am guaranteeing this, mate - guaranteeing it.

Ben Mee, Lewis Dunk, Tim Ream, Diop...

..all of them are miles better than any if Tanganga, Dier, Davies and Sanchez.

Miles. It isn't close. As a set, they are worse tah every defender at about 17 other PL sides. Maaaaaaaybe a bit better than Soton's, that's it.

I agree coaching has a role to play and Conte has not coached them at all well.

But those four are the perennial evidence that you simply cannot polish turds.

especially our turds..coaching!..what a load of bollux...you have either got it as a footballer or not! and our
defenders have not got it......suffering succotash...

You need to see some progress. Some signs things are getting better. They are not. They are getting worse. That's why. You have patience when the team is young, or you see promise. Signs of encouragement. I see none right now. When we win it's defensive and turgid. When we lose we are an embarrassment. His in game management is atrocious. I see zero signs of hope with him. Zero.

What would you be saying if this was us?

With the right players we would be amazing under Conte, that I have zero doubt about.

When everyone is fit we still have to play an average keeper who routinely behaves like a clown, eric dier and peh who are good players but not good enough for what we need.

That’s right down the spine of the team.

There are also many other mitigating reasons for this season but I’m not going to get into that again because it doesn’t suit the narrative so it will either be played down or ignored.

Nothing any of us meaningless plebs can do anyway so no point stressing about it, just watch and see what happens.
