Radu Dragusin

Hopefully if we sign him he's better on the ball than some seem to think. Or at least has the potential to develop that side of his game.

Him being a real physical presence is important next to VdV who despite his size isn't great in the air.

Im sure the stats are a reflection on who he plays for and their style rather than being an out and out poor passer.

He us 6 foot 3/4 which means we likely make vast improvements in the air which we need badly from set plays which is a clear weakness currently.

It's not just height, have you seen how hard the guy heads the ball? height, physicality and technique in the air ..

And agree, we have been weak in that area for some time

Agree in principle, but if that £5M plus the sale of PEH is the difference between Ange getting 1 player in this window vs. two?

Thats a fair point. I am just itching to see a signing early doors for once. Would be nice to see Ange backed early too

But… but for a side with CBs that are poor in the air we have the best record in the division for set piece defending
We mark zonally and that works
We have a keeper who comes for everything and wins the ball
Such a huge difference

Our defense is improving, the amount of corners we conceded but defended well against (for the most part) with Bournemouth was crazy.

We do concede a lot of set plays. It’s part of the discipline issue too don’t forget
But the only goals we have concede from them IIRC is the Villa free kick that Torres scored and the Brighton screamer. Both brilliantly executed goals

Pitter patter let's get at er'

Get it done, seems Paratici has history with him and Ange says yes, get it done with plenty of time before Utd ideally.

Haven’t we only conceded a couple of goals all season from corners etc? I’m sure before the Brighton game they were talking about us being the only team to not concede from a corner so far?

Watched a video of him. Does look quick and able to get back and make a last ditch tackle. Which he'll need in our system.

Was at juve a number of years so guessing at a better team his stats on the ball will improve.

Maybe design maybe luck but we don't look strong at all in the air IMO. I think we def benefit from more aerial presence

Here comes the haggling for a week. Look if its the man Ange wants back him and get the deal done, no faffing around
I think we can tolerate haggling throughout the first week of the transfer window.
There's almost always faffing around in any transfer, the age of readily available information and too many people desperate for clicks means that we get a too-heightened sense of urgency and artificial sense of delay around such things.
