*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester United ***

I wasn’t comparing Richarlison to Kane, it’s unlikely we will ever find anyone as good as him for a long time. We need to move on from Kane but we need more from our forwards at the business end of the pitch.

Not saying you were, no criticism intended, just that there's no one out there who can compare to him. Our forwards have been living on scraps and need to adjust to us having possession a d early passes.

Yeah but as a forward, your main jobs are to score and create, not just disrupt. I don’t think occupying space is enough. We can find anyone to do that. We can stick a hungry academy player in the team to run around a lot. Richarlison spends far too much time on the floor. I’m not writing him off and he deserves more time but he needs to start delivering and quickly.

football is all about space, space is everything, that's all players ever do, make or destroy space

I'm not a stats man so I don't know how many times Richarlson has started as our centreforward in consecutive games, not many I suspect. We do need a goal scorer as I dont see Deki chipping in with many.

That news about Maddison has put a dampener on things. Three away games in a week coming up before the break, not the hardest 3 games, but a big loss if he is out for a month

We need depth in that area, no doubt but its also hard to judge him for the reason you mention. I would count maybe 2 games last year where he played in the centre, if that. That would be 4 games in a season and 2 games, hardly a decent sample size

Just back from the game, lots of observations

#1, best atmosphere at a game in years, and outside of European games, well done South Stand kept it up, stadium followed suit, never even heard the United away fans over the noise (you almost always here the away supporters at points in the game), lets keep it up!

Game, first half we were a little nervous, think we were being a little cautious of United hitting the ball over the top, we got better as game went on, in the end some legs went (Still not match fit), good subs.

Players
- VDV, hahaha, this fudging guy was easily faster than Rashford in a strait line, he is rapid. A little touch of Jan in there as well, fits right in, back line looks so much better
- Romero the better, controlled version
- Bissouma & Sarr were the midfield stars today, Maddison a little quieter but still effective
- Porro was the oddball pick yet ended up being the pass before the assist for first goal, better than previous, still much better forward than defending.
- Vicario, hopefully quieted some doubters today, quick movement, great reflexes, bit of a nutter

Front line still has some form and chemistry to find, all worked hard, Deki probably best of the three.

First win against United at new stadium, good win, good start for Ange, onwards and upwards ..

p.s. Ref was fudging brick as usual .. tiresome at this point ..

United fans are always good at the lane
Didn’t hear them at all
So hard to find a MOTM as so many players stepped up
Atmosphere was brilliant too

There are (almost) always people willing to pay over the odds. The question is, who do you want in in the stadium? Mostly fans or mostly tourist?
Whoever will add more revenue to the club.

I'm a car fan. I really, really like McLarens but I can't spend as much as those who buy them. Would it make sense for them to sell a car at half the price to me because I really like them or the full price to those who can afford them?
