Everton

Rooney is worth as much on the training ground as he is on a match day, he's won everything that's worth winning and he's been on both sides of the press.

He'll be a major asset during the squad rebuild.

None of them are players you'd see in the starting XI of the 6 clubs above them though. It's where we were a few years ago, taking a chance on those overlooked by the big clubs. Paying over the odds doesn't make these players any better.

rewind a couple of years and they'd be buying the same sort of players for half the price - people think they're doing better than they are in the market because of the fees involved and the number of players coming in.

i would be surprised if they improve on last years position, hinges on Sandro hitting the ground running in front of goal

also on Rooney, remember the difference Gudjohnssen made for us despite never set foot outside the centre circle

Didn't realise he was in Germany's World Cup winning squad :).

He could be just as disruptive as an influence.

this is the case unfortunately. everton are definitely one of the bigger clubs outside the top 4-6, but with or without these transfers, everton are probably just a top half team. might as well have saved the money...

Never done England much good having him there.
Not saying that as a bitter Scot, but Rooney is over hyped because he's played for man u. If he hadn't moved into a team like that and stayed at Everton then he would be getting compared to Barkley

That has always been my opinion of him as well. Good player no doubt but vastly over rated (imo)

That's their predicted line up for next season

They could be the slowest side in the league IMO and their left side of defence is really poor although they have addressed the keeper issue

They have a very mobile Gueye but scehnierlain has lost 2 years of his career basically and is playing catch up

They also have to replace a player who scored or was involved in half their goals... that's a huge thing

Dont forget their squad still has players like Barry and McCarthy

He's England's all time top scorer?

Much more impressively than that, he's Manchester United's all time leading goal scorer, I'll say that again, Manchester United's all time leading goal scorer. It's not hype if you actually did it.

How many international games get played now? And how many are against very small nations? There's probably more games just to qualify now than there was to and win a tournament. And that before meaningless friendlies.

Not much more than last season. Replacing Lukaku with a complete attack is a step in the right direction, but I wouldn't trust Koeman with making it work.

I wouldnt be suprised to see Koeman jack at the end of the season

He doesnt last long at clubs

That team reminds me of Spurs 10 years ago.

That side doesn't scream top six.

Rooney is becoming the speed of Jan Molby but without the passing range. See how good his outside the box shooting, my guess is row Z at Goodson isn't a safe seat next season.

He usually leaves when they won't give him money to spend. Now he actually has to show what he can do.

And I don't think he is all that but we will see

He doesn't strike me as being a coach and tactically he hasn't shown anything yet that makes me think wow but this will be his team now after spending a fortune so no excuses
