But we beat what was put in front of us you can do no more. But there is something in what you say.

Look at their bench.
Look at their resources.
Look at where they are in terms of their 'development' as a club from old school to new power.
Looks at the sheer amount of money poured into them by a nation.
Trust me Dubai, Pep Guardiola would NOT do a second season relying on squad development. David Silva wasn't available but Gungodan was. THAT COSTS MONEY!!!!!

Your (frankly insane) ranting against Poch yesterday ignores the fact that hen has developed Dier, Alli, Kane, Eriksen and Alderweireld (not to men lion Rose and Walker) into 50 million + players. He DEVELOPED them into that. He did not pay that for them. Man Ute were prepared to pay 40mill for Dier!

I still cannot believe you stated that you though Poch was so afraid of being wrong that he purposely did not make changes which would help the team. I deleted my comment on it yesterday, but y'know, I still feel aggravated by it today so I will tell you again, I think he deserves MAXIMUM respect from our supporters, all of them.

This is the first proper sticky patch I can recall under Poch, and while it’s frustrating, perspective is key. Not only is our ability to pay competitive wages a challenge I don’t think we can underestimate the issues brought up by not playing at The Lane too. Footballers, especially these days, are sensitive individuals and I doubt anyone on here has a clue how hard it is to maintain focus and concentration with all that goes with playing for a club like Tottenham, and change doesn’t help.

All we can do is remain positive (or throw the rattle from the pram and think we know better than Poch about who to play where and when and what tactics to employ) and believe we will turn things around and continue to progress (bearing in mind that progression doesn’t always move in a straight line).

Had a friend who is Manure over to watch the game. He said Lloris would save it. I said he never saves pens, so he'd have to miss the target to not score. Bang! :D That and Eriksens goal was the only positive thing all game.
 
On squad depth, Emirates Marketing Project can afford to lose a couple of their rolls Royce players and replace them with Bentley.
We lose a couple of our Mercedes players and replace them with Volkswagen.
That' the difference.

In fact, and I believe I said this somewhere else, the match turned on Dele's egregious foul.
Imagine if Eriksen and Alli had had 'on' days and not been off-form?
Publicly the boss has held firm, privately I bet he is absolutely giving Dele all sorts.
 
Some of our play and attitudes reminded me of the Chelsea battle a couple of sessions ago.
We are very immature as a group.
This is at the root of problems on pitch.
The lack of control is quite alarming.
Dele has problems.....needs help quickly
 
I don't buy the sticky patch thing, we beat teams like Stoke 5-0, smash our Champions League Group and its forgotten, lose a game we by rights should against someone who has spent a billion on players and we have a sticky patch.

Think its more the way we've been playing. Sure, we've ground out some results which is a positive in itself. But performance wise we havent been that good this season,for various reasons....
