*** OMT - Tottenham Hotspur VS Some Gauche Middle Eastern Oil Money ***

Where do we go from here? What changes do you feel are necessary?

We just go away to Burnley and get a win. We get players like Sanchez and Big Vic back into the team. We get more minutes out of Lamela and get Eriksen and Dele back into some sort of form, with Rose flying down the left again.

That's all we need to do imo, it will come for us again.

Ritually sacrifice Jesus Perez at Stonehenge. And then warn Poch that we'll do the same to Miguel D'Agostino if he loses another game. Then, after that, Toni Jimenez. Then the physios.

Unconventional motivational technique.

Rose needs a run of games. Looked rusty today and we are missing his drive down the left.

Personally I think a lot of our problems today came down to poor defensive midfield performances as well as a poor game from Dier in defence. Dembele in particular was brick, not just defensively but he could not carry the ball out, was ponderous in possession and kept giving away silly fouls. I would have risked Foyth alongside Verts with Dier and Winks holding. Alli on the bench, Lamela on the right helping out trippier, son coming in off the left with Eriksen in the number 10 position. But hey being a football manager is easy from my sofa. I assume that Lamela is not currently fit enough to complete 90 minutes.

The Emirates Marketing Project press was impressive, better than ours today, maybe better than ours has ever managed to be. Yes they have spent a fortune to get these results, but they worked tirelessly all the same. I can't imagine anyone coming close to taking the league for another 3 years, when they might have a dip in form (it happens everywhere).

It's not the loss though that bothers me, but the manner of the performance. For a group of players who aspire to win things, we didn't really turn up. Our football was for the most part laborious and tentative, rarely looking like it could pull Emirates Marketing Project apart. A few of our lot looked like rabbits caught in the headlights in the first half and we never looked settled.

I dont like seeing us concede 4 goals or lose, however sometimes you just have to accept that you're playing against a better team and that they also played nearer their potential than we did.

I agreed with Poch's selection and formation - people could perhaps argue Rose vs Davies or Lamela vs Son, but really cant see that it would have made a jot of difference. We had 3 players out injured which left us short of options, but we knew that the squad lacks some depth. Tactically the only thing i felt we could have done differently was play long sometimes given that Kane would have had a decent chance in the air against their CBs

If we win our next two games then today will be an irrelevance

It was tactically that we were schooled.

My gripe is that at half time when it was plain we were so open, we should have brought Llorente on for Dele and gone 442 like we did at Madrid. Play it long, let Llorente hold it up and have Kane and Son off him.

For Poch not to change anything for 75 minutes was just madness imo.

Missed Toby and Wanyama today. Dier did okay until their 4th when he missed the ball. I thought Rose was good. The biggest sin was letting in the first and the open header 3 yards out. That's basic and should not happen. From there city could hit us on the break. Aurier, like Rose in a way, maybe a bit temperamental, but just has a little more in his locker for me. Trippier is shown up by pace, but Sane is a world class player imo.

The difference was our patched up defense and city's superior passing - our passing is not as crisp or fluid. We're clearly not on their level, but who is at the moment? I actually thought we did okay. Need to tighten up our defense and passing.

Give Poch £1B and I bet my house he'd win the league in style too.

I certainly wouldnt. He has won precisely nothing in his career. He doesn’t show nearly enough tactical awareness and his in game management is particularly poor. Also, his transfer business has been hit and miss to say the least. Many questions still remain.

Pep send more last season than we have in about 10 years combined and was behind us and Poch by some way

It’s easy when you can buy anyone and pay massive wages but more importantly write of yours and others mistake so easy.... they have lost a fortune on players they have brought now

That's not the point.

I'd almost back you to win the league with £1B if you could forget about corners for 5 minutes.

A lot of over the top knee jerk reactions here. We simply lost to a better team, which was expected.

I think we started well and were in control for the first 15 minutes, but started misplacing easy passes. Then City started to target our right side. Trippier had one of the worst days I've ever seen. Not only was he used as a cone time and time again, but when he was in posession, his passing was just awful. I'm sorry, but when players have that kind of day, the manager needs to do something. Trippier should have been subbed, at least at half time, but I think Poch thought he'd improve, and didn't want to change as we were still in the game.

Had it been 2-0 at half time, I think there would have been changes, either personel or shape. Dembele was once again not nearly at his best, and we got done again by sloppy passing. We should just forget this game and focus ahead. We'll have better days. No other team are even close to the level City are on now. We just need to focus on beating the rest.
