The Other Clubs Transfer Thread

Premier League strugglers West Ham are in talks to sign two Italy internationals, according to reports.

Milan midfielder Antonio Nocerino, 28, has already agreed a loan deal, according to reports in Italy, and a similar move for Roma striker Marco Borriello is also believed to be nearing completion.

Nocerino is expected in London on Friday for a medical and Borriello could also make the trip to complete his temporary move to England.

Nocerino, who has 15 caps for Italy and has also played for Juventus and Palermo, has played 16 times for the Rossoneri this season but may be surplus to the requirements of new coach Clarence Seedorf.

Roma remain reluctant to see Borriello, 31, leave on a permanent basis but could sanction a loan switch for the forward who needs regular games to force his way into the Italy squad for the World Cup in Brazil.

Genoa are also interested in the player and could yet move to keep him in Serie A after he started just six times for the Romans so far this season.

Hammers manager Sam Allardyce is desperate to bolster his squad after a recent run of poor form which has seen them slip out of the FA and League Cups and into the third relegation spot in the Premier League.

Paper talk is that ManU have/are going to bid £23 million for Luke Shaw and Moyes was in Germany yesterday to watch Mandzukic/Kroos/Random Bayern player.

Shaw and Mandzukic are two players I wouldnt mind at Spurs. Bit disappointing to see rivals strengthening while we seem to be standing still in a Jan window again.
I've read certain reports saying we have to sell to buy, I just cant believe we have no money to spend

Shaw's not ready, he's a prospect no doubt but he'll struggle to instantly replace Evra next season. I'm guessing Baines is not going to happen then, it must be down to the transfer fee as what player wouldn't leave Everton to play for Manchester Utd..

There's been talk of Baines being close to signing a new long term deal at Everton.

With his anti-semitic views, he'll fit right in there.

Remember this is the guy who refused to play against Maccabi Haifa because he didn't want to shake hands with Jews.

Obviously when they are filled with cash though (i.e. Abramovich) he'll make an exception.

Anti Israel is not anti jew, abramovich is Jewish

We've got to spend on the right player, not just any player. Then that player has to want to come, the agent / family / spouse has to be onside.

We have a whole glut of players that have barely played this year, so we could consider them to be new signings.

Certainly on that last point, Adebayor has defintiely felt like a new signing and fingers crossed Kaboul will do, but I still have my concerns over the latter, his injuries worry me... a lot.

This is true but the right player for us is a LB. We need one badly as the stats show in our win rate when Rose is not playing. Yes I know stats can be made to show whatever you like but in this case I think most would agree that we need cover or a new starter as LB. I'd take Benny back as plan B.

Do we need a striker or not? Well maybe if Lamela is moving inside we could get by, but I think a short term deal for Berb's is the smart move here. I just have a gut feeling Berbatov has one more chapter to write in our colours.

Benny and Berbs I'd be happy enough with. We're putting the band back together.

Borrielo has scored 1 goal this season, also they had a £3m bid for Ross MacCormack of Leeds turned down hahahahahahahahahah aim high BFS

Boriello is a great footballer. Not sure how he would cope in the Premier League though. Could be a good signing, he's certainly better than the likes of Maiga so it's good depth for West Ham in a position they have struggled with all season and now Carroll is fit again so that's like a new signing in itself.
