It's been the same most the season with all this triangle passing that gives us a dominant possesion count mixed with a few pot shots here and there but if you really think about it....the only real chance we've had was the Defoe one. That's why i laugh when people try and post the opta stats gonad*s after games to prove we played well and that there's no problems with the chances we're creating.

People choose to believe a stat over what their own eyes show them. We hardly create any real chances in most our games which is becoming a real real problem. We just coast games and have a few pot shots but we rarely carve teams out.
 
Pedestrian slow build up with nothing coming through the middle, surely one of out two central midfield players can get up in support, second half I fully expect Verts to start carrying the ball through from the back.

Current record probably one of our games under Redknapp when we often had 20+ corners without scoring.

The problem is that we are not 2 up and we can play pretty football all day without scoring if we continue as we have been. Football is a results business and it's about seizing a result when you are on top in a game. Plus, if we fail to learn from this period of inability to score and we keep repeating this trick then we will move further and further away from any prospects of success.

We'll all get behind the team but there's nothing wrong with pointing out weaknesses as long as it doesn't inhibit our support, surely?
 
3 full halfs of football on the bounce where we have more or less dominated the football and not been able to put the ball in the net. And one goal in the last five halfs, just not clinical enough. And the management dont think we need any new signings? :eek:

What have you been drinking over Cfimbo? Ade has been shocking all season. The only above average performance he has put in was against the Goons and even then he conspired to stupidly to stupidly sent off
 
I know it's partly the fault of the modern game, but I HATE seeing Adebayor coming on smiling and joking having had a bad first half. If he's scored a hat trick fair play, but why does he never look focussed and like he really wants to change his performance? Would never see the likes of Shearer doing that.

I'm sure they know we need new signings but they don't want to crow about how much lest that should encourage the clubs, at which our targets are based, to raise the prices a they can sniff desperation.

Completely agree. Stats mean fudge all ! Who gives a brick if you have 70% posession but lose 1-0. Good stats dont always mean you play well - I trust my two eyes when I watch a game.
