TOTTENHAM vs. ASTON VILLA - OMT

I'd be tempted to take Adebayor off and bring on Sigurdsson. There's little point in having 2 strikers at the moment given that we aren't utilising them. If we get Sigurdsson on and he plays as he has been recently then there's a better chance of us scoring.
 
Ade off, Sig on. Ade's been completely anonymous, save for one pass, and we need someone with a better delivery from corners. Caulker on for Gallas after fifteen minutes if it looks like we've contained Ireland effectively, to give us more height and threat at set-pieces.

We need to win this. We have had all the chances. We have not converted. We've seen this ominous story before.
 
Ade has been non existent. Need to replace him with Sig. Sandros gotta be bored out there. This might be a time where we look to bring on Parker to speed up the passing a bit in midfield.

Italian and Spanish type football doesnt really work in the EL.

When a striker first joins us they seem to try so hard but after a year or two they all go like this. Plus with ade and defoe who is the challenging them for a spot in the team? big thing was made of having lloris and friedel at the start of the season. But now we have 2 strikers with their feet under the table and no worries.

Ade has been fudging shocking since coming back and he ought to be dropped. ill give him 15 mins to buck up his bricky little arse up or put Sig on
 
Completely in control of the game but again we are not clinical enough in the final third. I think we have had a few decent chances but there always seems to be a Villa player in the way to block our effort on goal which seems to be something that has happened a lot to us this season. Im wondering if we need to move the ball a bit quicker when we get to this area of the pitch. Just as an example Bale a couple of times has gone down the wing with 2-3 men heading into the box but instead of releasing an early ball for our players to attack he has wanted to beat his man to get to the byline before crossing meaning that Villa have been able to get players back in.

Same story as the last few games so far.
 
It's quite shocking that we didn't score in that half. Yes, we have dominated completely, but Villa's performance has been absolutely awful. They give away possession in dangerous areas when they have the ball, sit back without putting us under pressure when we are in possession, and give away space in and around the penalty area. THey are not actually defending well at all, we are just rubbish at taking advantage of theiur poor play. We have created a few good opportunities, but there shoudl have been more. If we up the tempo a little, take a bit more care with oor passing in the final third, and of course, put our chances away, we should score easily.
Having said that, Villa are unlikely to be that poor in the second half. I am sure they will we be a different team after the break.

That many corners with no end result is bloody shocking. The way its going we are heading for the premiership record number of corners in a game without a goal.

You lot are insufferable. We lack craft in the final third, what's new? It's not like we've been brick though, we've utterly dominated the game and should be at least 2 up.

I would put sig on but you know what? for Ade who has been nothing short of a fudgein disgrace since he has come back. Defoe was bang on form before Ade came back and im happy to stick with that.
