*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Bournemouth ***

Its a curse of the game these days. We have got quite a few players I dont think are good enough for the prem let alone our club, but boo them during a game? Whats wrong with these so called fans? I have supported Spurs for years and have attended some our most shocking results but still applauded the players at the end

I wasnt there today but in my view its mainly that people want to be ab;e to express their dissatisfaction with the downward spiral that the team is in, and whether it was Sanchez or Perisic or Dier or whoever, there was going to be some booing at someone.

THe wheels are well and truly off at Spurs at the moment. There's no leadership on the pitch and with a caretaker who is only there til he's fired in May, no leadership off it. I cant imagine that Stellini has any authority either. All getting very ugly

A fan base that doesn't even have the power of their convictions or the bottle to be seen protesting which they have every right to do. Easy to hide away in a stadium and crowd and boo though

It's knuckle dragging cowards behaviour TBH

Aside from the fact it makes you a garbage human as well as a ‘fan’ to boo one of your own players who’s only fault is not being good enough, how fudging stupid are these macarons to not realise the result of their actions doesn’t just affect the player in question but the team as a whole? The atmosphere is flaccid and toxic enough as it is without wilfully shooting ourselves straight through the foot.

He was a lightning rod. Could have been almost any player

Just that fans wanted to vent and him coming off was the opportunity

Not necessarily excusing it, but its just a demonstration of how bad things are at the club at the moment

Just back from my first game since I moved to Australia 15 years ago.
The booing against Sanchez was disgusting. Actually made me embarrassed to be a Spurs fan.
The game itself was also shocking. Up until we scored we were doing pretty well and Perisic and Son in particular were looking dangerous. After the goal it was like we just totally shut off. It was like someone flicked a switch.

They were booing him evenry time he touched the ball. Not just when he came off.

OK, I wasnt there

As I said though, the club has no direction or leadership at the moment. Stellini has no authority and blaming players today distances himself from the squad even more

It's going to get worse and worse til the season of the season, unless Levy acts

You are making excuses. Did he make the goals by himself? He was part of the team. The team as a whole is this messy. We can't keep making excuses for players. This is Bournemouth at home.
I think, with respect, you are missing the point. Of course he doesn't make the goals by himself, well not all of them. But imagine we had a striker on the end of the chances who was as poor as our defence. Where do you think we would be in the table? Those wishing Kane gone are simply not understanding how poor we will be without him.

I appreciate your point but they booed him coming on to the pitch before he’d even touched the ball.

With Sanchez I think he deserves to be boo’d tbh.

He was signed for 42m and is paid very handsomely yet he is an awful player who has regressed year after year at this club.

He should be ashamed of the player he has become. Training and playing all these years at a Premier League club and the result is that he is a far worse player than the one we signed? Absolutely unacceptable.

I’m sure he will cope with the justified boos when he goes back to his mansion and life of luxury. It must be just so so painful for him…

Yep… but a ding-dong who had us in 4th place. The chairman set light to us getting anything from the season by firing him and putting his hapless assistant in charge.
We were done with Conte and he was done with us, mate. We needed someone else though to be appointed at least until the end of the season rather than Conte-lite. I think where you can blame Levy is that he wasn't prepared for Conte going even though the guy has basically been a shell since Christmas.

Not as ashamed as you should be for thinking it's ok to boo a player like today. He's a human and will feel it the same as anyone else would that is booed like today no matter what money he has.

Poor game and all, but fudge me, the way our fans treated Sanchez was an absolutt disgrace. I don't care how bad we are, but if you do that while in the stadium, you can just fudge off for all I care. Embarrassed.

It’s no longer a stadium primarily full of home fans. It’s a tourist destination. It’ll happen.
