*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Bournemouth ***

Kulu, PEH and Romero were so poor (not only ones). Can't understand taking Skipp off, left us with no midfield at all.
At the end we looked like a group of players just thrown on and making it up as they went along

It was a terrible sub, leaving PEH on for Skipp.

The problem this time (in the chairman’s eyes) was that Conte also told some home truths about the club. Levy set fire to our chances of top 4 this season when sacking Conte and putting Stellini in charge for the rest of the season. I’m now hoping we finish 8th instead of 7th and miss out on the Conference League.

It will only be worth it if we get the next appt right. For all the poor performances today, the single things which annoyed me the most were
A) our attitude again after going 1 up
B) how it all fell apart because Lenglet -a stop-gap cheapo option for the vital LCB position- went off injured.

We need to flush this system, this era, wholly out.

Been dug out for weeks, loads of people also bashing the old "cheap signing" rhetorics which is vastly unfair on some players IMO

Mea culpa, I just called Lenglet a ‘cheapo option’, as much calling out our policy and not necessarily the player.

Our Manager was a dingdong. Now we have an assistant dingdong in charge
Yep… but a ding-dong who had us in 4th place. The chairman set light to us getting anything from the season by firing him and putting his hapless assistant in charge.

Lengket May be cheapo but he can play LCB
Non one else can who is fit

Look at the man appointing him instead of the patsy that gets appointed.
Same people celebrating Conte getting sacked are the same people who were claiming we were going to be so much better with Stellini in charge and ‘the handbrake being off’ and some of those are now calling for Stellini to go :D - About time some wised up and accepted who and what is the real issue….

But others had games in hand
No one I know who goes thinks we would have been better of with conte in charge
This is just more conte by another name

That was my point: fans undermine. And Levy’s biggest failing is either aciting like a fan or listening to them.

Let Conte see out the season and we’d have taken 6 points instead of 1 imo.

we were fudged with him in charge as well. Where Levy messed up was not getting in someone like Harry Redknapp till the end of the season.

One thing I find unbelievable is Stellini openly telling us he was going to apply the same tactics as the guy who’d just been sacked.

Let that sink in and imagine it happening in any other profession or industry.
i don't understand why anyone would think he'd do different, he is conte's right hand man/team without being conte ... laughable if anyone thought we were suddenly going to be more aggressive or make this team better, or even hold it together. Conte knew the writing was on the wall

Poch's painful rebuild will never happen, we're keeping far too many who need to be got rid off! I really do wonder what this crappy board, not just levy, think they're going to get in as manager, and who leads the vision for the future of the team

I freely admit I got the ‘continuity’ angle of Stellini/etc staying wrong. I thought this lot might at least have the best chance of functioning with this ‘system’ still in place (a system I dislike BTW) but I was wrong.

What I do think is also worth saying, is that Conte had no interest in sticking around once he’d dropped a bigger bomb than even he thought he had. IMO he gave us no option because he did not want to be here a moment longer after that. Who can blame him in many ways, not the least that life is short and family important.
