Season 2012-13 / 2011-12 Comparison Thread

Our next 4 games are fudging tough, and could decide our season!

8 points would be a fantastic return, but i cant even see us getting that. Predicting a win against Saudi Sportswashing Machine, west ham draw, arsenal draw, and liverpool loss...

12 points. Easy.

The NLD will be huge. The other key will be our ability (or otherwise) to improve our goalscoring performance in the more run-of-the mill games, especially at home. Arsenal have scored getting on for twice as many goals as we have at home this season, they arguably have the easier run-in, they always seem to grind the results out when they need to, and they are traditionally strong toward the end of the season. It's probably going to be close, close, close.

To be honest, I'm more confident with us playing tougher opponents than the also rans, we can't beat the sort of teams that come and sit back and invite us on, we struggle to score and get picked off whilst trying. The likes of Saudi Sportswashing Machine, West Ham, Arsenal and Liverpool are more likely to come out and play against us either because they want/need to beat us or because they are so brick at defending they have no option but to push on. That's what I'm hoping anyway.

Are we expecting Ade to be back for the Saudi Sportswashing Machine game, could be a big boost, he should get a run of games now with Defoe out and hopefully he'll be keen to prove his worth, fingers crossed, we need him desperately.

Big set of games coming up, we need to make a statement and get a nice haul together. I personally would think we will get 7 points with wins against West Ham and Saudi Sportswashing Machine and a draw against either Arsenal or Liverpool with us losing the other one. If we could get 9 or 10 points then I would be ecstatic. 70 points is going to be the watermark again I feel so we need 7/8 more wins from our remaining fixures plus 2-3 draws to have a real chance of 4th.

Didn't really know where to put these but some great stats.

159 - Tottenham Hotspur have fired in more shots on target than any other team in the Premier League this season. Copious.

240 - Tottenham have conceded fewer fouls than any other team in the Premier League this season (240). Disciplined.

West Ham (Wolves) away (won 2-0)
Arsenal home (won 2-1)
Liverpool away (draw 0-0)
Fulham home (won 2-0)

Our next 4 fixtures. We are 3 points better than equivalent fixtures last season.

Our last 26 matches last season 11-8-7 41 points 40-25

This season 14-6-6 48 points 44-30
