Nah, West Ham and Southampton are just better than Wolves and Bolton last season.

Swansea, West Brom and Chelsea were the runaway teams early on, but won't have done that much better in the end.

Saudi Sportswashing Machine are awful though, only 8 away points so far. Reading the only team worse with 5.

Interesting, but pointless. We arguably had a better team last season, but it's almost certainly an easier league to win points this season. Some of the opposition from last year are harder to play than last year, some easier.

All that matters is we get top four! Last season we probably should have got third, but ended up with fourth. This season we should probably get fourth, but will probably end up with fifth. Last season we were the 4th or 5th best team in the Premiership, probably 5th because of Van Persie playing at Arsenal. This season we are the 4th best team, probably because of Bale playing for us. Stats aren't needed to see that!

Stats are facts. And like facts can be spun anyway you want to see them. Stats and facts never tell the whole story. A team loses 1-0 to an offside goal, and also has three perfectly good goals disallowed. The stat and fact is the team lost 1-0, but that is not the full story.
