OMT - Tottenham vs. Lyon

At first I thought it was poor, but he clearly had his weight set to go the other way, and couldn't recover. Still, about damn time Spurs had a superstar. I doubt if Manure fans were moaning when Becks did it for them game after game, let's just enjoy a top player really fulfilling his talent for us, what a pleasant change! Keane, Berbatov, Modric, now Bale - we are blessed to have such players, we just need more of them!

Andre: "We were very good in the first half but not as good in the second. Game got a bit sloppy but we worked hard. There were three moments of individual brilliance today and we have to give their goal credit. We didn't expect a team like Lyon to roll over. We had to work hard & we had chances. Gareth scored two incredible goals. The winner was important. It was a good game."

Dont see how anyone can describe that as a good game. Thought we were pretty poor tbh. Most players well below their best.

A good contest - yes, a good game - hardly.

No surprise.

If our below best players win 2-1 every game long may their poor form continue.

Nothing to do with GHod, Bale did it tonight and in recent weeks but Dempsey and Ade have done it in the past and I have a good feeling about the new guy.
So many miskicks and deflections did not go our way this evening.
I think a draw was probably a fair result..but who said life was fair? Loads and loads of good points about tonight. Can't think of any bad ones.

Err...I was referring to Bale as GHod...

My favourite part, aside from the three exceptional goals, was when Villas Boas walked through the silly little gate in the stupid Europa League hoardings that were obstructing his technical area, turned around, and then went mental at the fourth official in a what-the-fudge-is-this-brick-in-my-technical-area? kind of way.

Redknapp would have just twitched his way through the whole thing and we'd have lost 1-0.

The way AVB watches and lives our games it would take a lot for him to think of it as poor. There's a lot of adrenalin pumping through him and Freund.

Question for Statto: How many times have we played the home and away leg of a cup tine without any other games in between?

Seeing as the OP doesn't include any specifics about this game, do we need a new OMT for the away game? This is uncharted territory.

good result in the end, but we were rubbish going forward. My word, that was hard to watch
