** OMT Tottenham Hotspur V Liverpool **

...we are pathetically behind Liverpool's pace and acumen - my wife had the best analysis of the whole half:
"we need to revamp the whole team"

Van Gaal would just come in, tell Dawson or Lennon that they are ****e, push them away and Byebye. Thats what top managers do.

Bring him in.

Actually, at Bayern, he just coached Demichelis and Daniel Van Buyten (comparable CBs) to be organised and play to their strengths

Well we made zero chances we barely managed to string a few passes together we gifted them 2 goals. Just inept. I just cant wait till this season ends.

Experienced manager in a clearout of those players that have flattered to deceive and no pressure on us next year because this year we have been ****.

This is one of the first times in years I've seen our players not give a damn. And others are picking up on it now. Every single professional I've heard that saw our players in the tunnel commented on how poor our player's body language looked. And while I don't always listen to pundits, in this case it is the one thing they will completely know about - the psychology of the player. They will have had 500, 1000, however many games combined to look at their team mates to know who was up for it or not and they could see in our players today that they weren't. It's a massive disgrace. Not Sherwood's fault. These players need to be shipped out.

i thought anyone would be better than avb, we were that bad. but when i thought 'anyone' i was still equating that to a professional football manager. it seems levy really did just appoint anyone. sherwoods credentials make him just a random bloke really. and whats worse, is he's a random bloke hell bent, not on spurs winning, but waging one of the most singular publicity campaigns since pele started advertising viagra and turning up to the isle of wight u-12's players player of the year awards.

wtf does the cuunt sit in the stands? we all know why - so the camera will focus more on him.

Agreed. The drivel we are watching now does not make the decision to ssck AVB wrong. What was wong was Levy appointing Sherwood plain and simple. Of all the managers in the world out of work we could'nt find a single one to appoint and instead thought it better to give the job to someone who is NOT a manager. Its a complete joke.

Some people moaned at the thought of Hoddle taking the reigns till the end of the season after AVB. I dont have a single doubt in my mind that we would have more points and better peformances if we had him instead of Tim. For all his faults, Hoddle would at least have got professional respect from the players. What we have at the moment is a team who couldnt give a toss about Sherwood and who respect him as much as the loo paper they wipe their bum with.

so what we're saying is 4 out of our back 4 aren't good enough? sounds about right.

add into the mix lennon, chadli, siggy bentaleb, the soldado that rocked up in london in the summer and you are left with, well, this.

absolutely fuuck all. nothing, just nothing. with no one in charge.

ive never seen a team so devoid of identity, personality, characters, direction, hope, tactics, fight, guts.

its powder puff nothing. a true paper tiger.

Yep. Our defence is ****. We can't keep going 2-0 down expecting to win a game.

We have nothing up top. We have nothing on the wings. We just aren't really a football team, just putting 11 players out there and hoping not to concede but we do!

Well, that's an encapsulation of this strange season. Need for a new centre-back this summer is now too pressing to ignore, come what may. If Kaboul continues to be rusty all the way through the next seven games, then let him go. If Verts wants to leave, let him go. But please buy a mentally-strong centre-back who doesn't let his team-mates down after 1 minute or within a minute of coming on, please.

Why Siggy is playing in holding midfield, I'l never know, but I suppose Sandro/Dembele are too unfit to start, which raises more questions about the ineptness of our physio department and the opacity of our club when it comes to telling us about said injuries. Of course, Sherwood himself has a lot to answer for. Why he persists in playing Bentaleb like this is utterly baffling, and his inability to get our side to wake up before kick-off is a damning indictment of his leadership.

And, at the board level, this:

is all that needs to be said. People see it as a strength, I see it as a bloody weakness. We made a profit this summer, the summer of the increased TV money coming in and our only superstar leaving. At a time when we needed quality more than ever, we made a profit. Again. We missed out on our principal targets (Villa, Benteke, Hulk(?)) again. We bought substitutes who failed to impress. Again. And at the end of the season, we will receive a waffling chairman's letter detailing the need for financial stability now more than ever.....again.

Liverpool kept their superstar. They spent to surround him with talent. And now they're certain to make the CL and recoup at least 60 million of that outlay, plus the revenue from their brand being back in Europe's highest leagues again. Seems like a well-taken gamble. Us? We sold our superstar, replaced him with mediocrity, and are now heading for a rudderless finish to a rudderless season. But oh, well. At least we made a profit again.

Sigh.

Can we announce that Sherwood is ****ing off after this game and announce Lvg as new manager?

Would be good for season ticket sales and we all know Levy is about the $£$£

Would be a big confidence boost for fans, might even help Tim fans could get behind the team for the last few games
