Ok well you must have Holtby-cam on your TV as I'm watching it now and they don't even show Holtby's face. All I see is his relief/disappointment from nearly allowing Tromso to score.

Yes, I have it saved so found the bit you were on about and you don't even see Holtby's face, he just bends down to pull his socks up, which was seconds after he was robbed of the ball by Tromso which led to them nearly scoring. Eriksen then comes on for Dembele who's already gone off and they start playing again, Holtby had already moved to the CM position by the time Eriksen came on.

I unreservedly withdraw my comment that Holtby looked dissappointed when Eriksen came on in his position. It was a filthy libel and I beg forgiveness from each and every poster.

I promise to never, ever again give my opinion on what a player does.

What can't speak can't lie. How about putting it in this thread and let others decide. It is a matter of the utmost importance.

In your last post you say he looked disappointed now you say you can't see his face. What is the truth?
 
Nice to see us continue our winning run with another clean sheet as well. We were not that outstanding but a 3-0 win is more than enough in a Cup match. There is no need to be outstanding at this stage as there are still a long way to go in Europa League. Tromso is the sort of teams we used to get complacent against in the past. In that sense, it is good to beat them without any problems.

Defoe proves yet again that he is a Cup specialist. He seems to enjoys scoring in Cup matches more. Both his goals were well-taken goals. He used to waste those one-on-one chances before but he seems to have improved on that now. He now has 4 goals this season which is the same as Soldado. Hope both Defoe and Soldado will compete with each other to increase their goal tally all the time. Really disappointed that Lamela didn't score but atleast he created the first goal for Defoe with a nice assist. Maybe Lamela will need more time to settle down and start scoring goals.

It is still early but Eriksen seems like will be a great signing for us. After creating the goal against Norwich, what a way for him to score his first goal ! It was top class the way he curled the ball into the net from that distance. Find it hard to believe that he is only 21 now as he looks very matured and composed. Hope he will improve even further as the season progresses. Nice to see Holtby creating the second goal for Defoe. It is good to have Holtby as cover for Eriksen. In contrast, disappointed about Sigurdsson as he was not in the game at all. After scoring 2 goals against Norwich, thought he will continue his good form.

Nice to know we can still keep clean sheet even when we are forced to change the defence around. Tromso were shyte but remember we used to concede to shyte teams in the past. We looked solid in defence which was nice. We seem to have a strong mentality nowadays. Credit to Naughton for getting the assist to Eriksen's goal. But it was surprising AVB chose to play Lloris in goal. Thought Friedel or any reserve goalie would start. Surely, we can't be playing Lloris all the time as that will tire him soon.

Nice to see us getting these wins despite having so many new players around. Hope we will get even better as the team gel together. Just hope Lamela will start scoring soon and make us forget Bale for once !
 
Re: Lloris. I can undertand why AVB picked him. Another confidence-boosting clean sheet, which I'm sure will help him. Another game building up an understanding with his CB's, and to be fair I doubt it would have tired him out. That was probably one of the easest games he has had to play in.

I think Friedel will play at Villa though, with Hugo back for Chelsea
