Manager Sack Watch 2014/15

interesting, he's only been there 2 mins and they were quite unfortunate in a few games

Their loss yesterday put them behind where they were last season at this stage, but there are definitely at least 3 worse teams in this league.

So as I understand it, they didn't want to increase Pulis' pay to what he thought he deserved after keeping them up. They then had to pay out to hire and fire Warnock, renowned for getting championship clubs promoted and PL clubs relegated. And now if they don't find someone exactly like Pulis, pay the price of relegation as well?

I thought that disagreements about transfer targets was the reason for Pullis leaving.

Tbf to them, Pulis wanted them to spend more than they were willing (or at least willing to do for Pulis, given the waste of millions he did at Stoke) but because of the timing and then MacKay-Gate they were left with the scars that is Neil Warnock, one of the last remaining of old-school dinosaurs (and before anyone starts the whole pie-and-Chis vs Tapas-and-Paella thing, Redknapp, who I often malign, is on a totally different level to Warnock, who is FAR inferior to Redknapp imo..)

Talk that Tony Popovic could be in contention for the Palace job. Would be an interesting appointment to say the least. Can't think of an Aus coach/manager who has kicked on in one of the big leagues.

Odds on Pardew to be named Palace manager has been slashed massively after he did not take any media duties after the game against Everton today.

He is now favourite for the job at both Paddy Power and Betfair.
