Fixture & Ticket News 2022/23

Probably the next game will be cancelled too what with it being just before the funeral - meaning 2 x CL games with a week in betweeen ahead of the international break

Expect the funeral will be next Sunday or Monday. No reason to not play football on Saturday. We obviously won't hear one way or the other until the last minute.

Doesn't really make sense. Could have had the fans pay respects with something pre-game, and armbands. But we were entering the game looking a bit leggy upfront, with 1 fewer day's rest. So not a bad thing for us.

UK Athletics being much more sensible: Sunday's Great North Run will go ahead as planned, with organisers saying it is "an opportunity to come together and express our condolences".

I mean, I get it that Queen Elizabeth was an icon and deserves all honors, but a national day of mourning and a moment of silence at all events would be appropriate. Shutting everything down doesn't make much sense. I doubt the Queen would have wanted that.

At least let us mourn with a bank holiday during the week! Then let the respectful games commence! Seems upside down.
