Not good news for The UK.

UK may face harder job getting EU vaccines after Brussels tightens export rules
By Euronews • Updated: 24/03/2021 - 13:00

The European Commission will tighten the criteria to authorise the export of EU-made coronavirus vaccines in a bid to secure supplies for citizens inside the bloc.

The move follows weeks of shortages and delays, especially related to Anglo-Swedish company AstraZeneca, which has caused great frustration across the continent.

Brussels plans to incorporate the principles of "proportionality and reciprocity" into the transparency mechanism that was introduced at the end of January and will assess "case by case" the export requests from pharmaceutical companies.

This means vaccination-leading countries like the UK could face a harder task getting vaccines from EU countries.

Only to be expected. EU throwing their toys out of the pram.

I’m not religious. But it is coming up to Holy Week.

Jesus/Mohammed/Buddha would be good right now.

Someone whose voice resonates with truth and sense. We’re a bit short of humanity and as usual the poison drips from the top down.

Might be a bit heavy. But peace and health!

ICYMI the vaccine takes about 3 weeks to kick in, so as you only got your jab on Monday you’re still vulnerable to infection.

Data submitted by the Covid-10 Clinical Information Network (CO-CIN) showed there were 1,802 recorded cases of vaccinated patients admitted to hospital with the virus in the UK as of 5 March - equivalent to 4.2 per cent of all Covid-related hospitalisations since 8 December, when the UK’s vaccination programme began.

The report found that the median time between vaccination and onset of Covid symptoms for these patients was five days. Immunity after a first vaccine jab for all the available vaccines develops around three to four weeks after the dose.
