We don't insist on people resigning for speeding and other harmless, minor offences. Why would we do so for this?
It's all about who he is and nothing to do with what he did.
It is a pointless rule. If we sacked everyone involved in it, it would be a particularly sparse government.

Or he was transparent to them about his movements and then they can't get rid of him because if he was like me he would keep a record and report that back as "you approved this"

The one rule for one, one rule for another works against those asking for the sack as you would be sacking someone for an offence no one else would be sacked for. Thats called a witch hunt.

Boris should have said, Domenic has been fined and will issue a public apology. We were elected with a massive mandate and Domenic is big part of the project. We accept his actions were not exemplary, but now we move onto the vital testing, tracking and plan for the UK to exit lockdown.
