Ross Barkley

I agree with Scara regarding the price. Around 15 - 20 mill max is the most we should be paying with him having 1 year left on his contract.

If Everton want more then they will end up with him remaining there till next summer when he will walk away for free.

If Poch wants him - and it has been rumoured that he is our top target - then Levy should try his hardest to get him.

If Walker is worth £50 plus million, then what price Ross?

Loads of Everton training pics around because of Rooney turning up, no sign of Barkley. IF, we do sign him Poch and his coaches will have to design a whole new fitness regime. Maybe they could dust off the Andy Reid pre season manual.

Andy Reid was always in fine shape!...if that shape was measured by likeness to a footballing humpty dumpty...

Son was a good signing..
Seems like our scouting system is struggling to find anyone decent.
Which brings me onto who chooses the players we sign these days.
What players has Poch actually chosen?

He smells like a Levy target. Youngish player on a short contract that we might be able to make a quick 12-18 month profit on. Like Holtby or Yedlin

In which case, we should all be in favour of it. There is nothing wrong with short term squad cover that we can turn a profit on in a season or two.

This! Get him in for cheap, try to change him... if he won't change we can sell him for a large profit to Wet Spam or Soton level. Or back to Everton as the prodigal son.

Sounds a lot like us too. Who was the last genuine star (not a prospect like Bale or Alli) that we beat a big club too? I can only think of VDV somewhat fitting that.
I'd add Alderweireld. Luckily Simeone is a fool and didn't fancy him.
