He's a good player and would add something to the squad, but he's right footed and would be direct competition for Chadli in an inside forward role, and Chadli has been one of our most consistent performers so far this season. I can't see why we'd need Mirallas.

I did not watch him with sasuolo, I watched him only with Italy squad and he was very good.
Not as number 9, he likes to go deep often to link the game, would be a good help for kane. Actually he was very helpful for IEmbol" Dortmond's striker" when they played together, the former mess him alot I think considering his goals with Dortmond.

We need more depth for those three roles behind the CF. Agree he's not an upgrade on what we have but is another option. Personally I would prefer someone with genuine pace, rather than someone who is quite like Chadli

So you are saying that Mirallas doesn't have pace?
 
Italian press are reporting a possible swap for soldado and Destro.

I got this from an Italian colleague working in Genoa (Sampdoria fan!), so don't ask me for a link! He really likes Destro and describes him as the next Inzaghi. Not sure whether to be excited about that comparison or not!!

Mirallas has been playing more often on the right than on the left for Everton. We definitely need more options for the attacking midfield trio anyway, and I think Mirallas is a very good and versatile player. Would have been a great addition.

Notoriously inconsistent. The Everton fans are losing faith, but their whole team is a bit crap though.

Depends what you mean by 'having pace'. I mean signing someone who threatening to run on to through balls etc. Currently I think we're too easy to defend against because our current first choice front 4 (Kane, Eriksen, Chadli and Lamela) are all ok pace wise but no better than that. I think we would benefit from someone qenuinely quick
 
Mirallas looked extremely quick against us, but havent paid enough attention to him this season to know whether that was our sluggish defence making him look quicker than he really is....

Done it in the premier league > Looked good v us in 2 European games (although that approach didnt work out too bad with Chadli)

I like him. Would fit in well with Vertonghen,Dembele and Chadli as his national teammates. Belgians are the new Croatians
 
Mirallas is good, sometimes exceptional, but I guarantee that he'd have us pulling our hair out through inconsistency before long. I've seen plenty of games where everything he does fails. Bad choices on the ball and poor execution. And then other games where he looks the complete opposite and plays amazing. If you can put up with those vast swings in performance levels OK but I imagine he'd be the latest marmite player around here in a month.

Depay is the one we should be pushing for. Much higher ceiling than Mirallas, or even Chadli IMO.

I think Depay has the highest ceiling of any young player in football right now. He's just ridiculously good.

He was being touted for £15-18M over the summer - I can't believe with our "stepping stone to Real" position we didn't get him.
