***OMT Tottenham Hotspur v AEL Limassol Thu 28th Aug 19.45 KO***

Was sure he'd put it over.

"That's why he remains in the manager's plans" The commentary is a ****ing joke.

Hmm. if we cannot trust him to keep possession against Limassol then there is no place for him in this side.

Saying that Poch should give him a few more minutes to pull his socks up before swapping him.

Socks duly elevated. well done Andros.

Did someone wrote Row Z on the bottom corner? Good pen, but why didn't Kane take it?

Because Kane missed one?

Because Kane is selfless?

Because our manager wants more players to open their accounts for the season. It'll inspire more confidence.

Paulinho's had a great game. The sort of all action midfielder type performance I've been hoping to see from him. Hopefully he can begin repeating that feat in the league.

When you're in a knock-out competition it's handy to have several players with real match penalties behind them. Different pressure(s) from training ground.

I've been impressed with the fringe players tonight. Poch has clearly got his ideas across quickly and most of these players could slot seamlessly into the first team. My only concern would be central midfield where both Dembele and Sandro are so different from Poch's first choice pairing.

How many top strikers are selfless?

If a forward misses a pen I want him snatching it and taking the next one.

That makes some sense. I'd still rather our main pen taker (in this competition, at least) got more practice. Especially after missing the first.

I agree. He looks a lot better when he is not played as one of the 2 in 4-2-3-1

Without getting overly excited, we do suddenly appear to have a very strong squad. I guess it just need someone to tell them that they were a talented bunch, rather than moaning what a terrible bunch of wasters they were......no names :-"

After the false number 9, we now have the false number 10 - a midfielder who swaps roles with the striker. The boy's done good tonight; let's hope he keeps it up.

Blimey, I'd forgotten all about poor Holtby. Be nice for his confidence if he could grab a quick goal tonight.

We look to be running out of steam a little.

Which is fair enough. Sandro, paulinho, dembele all have very few minute under their belt so far this season.
