All of them! I cite the evidence of the last 7 trophyless seasons for Arsenal and Wenger's developing blind-spot for passing over physical, powerful players for small, darting creative types. Now they actually have an entire team of them!

Their holding player is Arteta for christ sakes. Its like that great AC Milan team saying ok we don't need Guttuso next to Pirlo, we'll just play Kaka next to him and leave Pirlo with no protection whatsoever and watch as he gets booted all over the park.

Arsenal gave up competing for trophies when they decided to stop building balanced sides.

Their best team (the one that went unbreaten), was tall, powerful, physical and full of beasts. Look no further than their central midfield pairing of Vieira and Gilberto Silva. Even Pires was fairly tall and stocky (for a winger/playmaker).

Don't forget he added the twist of two agents so that it makes it look like he know's more than the rest of us. Perhaps he does? :rolleyes:

I wonder if Soldado was a bigger name in world football whether people would have issue with us paying £20-25m. He'll score goals, perhaps even drive us into CL next season, if the club want's that kind of success which in turn could keep Bale at the club I'd say it's got to be worth it.

Based on his record this past year, I'm just off to stick £20 on him being first goalscorer at Palace.
 
@spurspanyol: The same station (Cadena Ser) reporting that Spurs heard VCF have someone signed and are ready to announce him. Spurs lowered the fee.
