The We8Campbell Memorial ITK Thread

Yeah it's over. Only half an hour to go and you'd need fee agreed, contract signed, medical done and paperwork with FA ...there hasn't been a sniff of a rumour about us signing anyone..all deals in pipeline involve players actually at the club now having medicals. Face it were not signing anyone. AVB said so days ago

Whilst i agree it's over, you don't have to have the medical done.

Fair enough, but it's over. It's dead and if something was happening at least one outlet, agency or news source would have picked up on it.

4th spot is gone now. Just like last year we have snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. The signings of Nelson and Saha last Jan shen we were (technically) in in the title race were pathetic, and today is even worse. We are handing Arsenal 4th spot again.

We expect it every window but it still hurts like hell. Well done Spurs. How to destroy the progress we have made these last few years.

Thats it.................im off to toss off to Natalie Sawyer to cheer myself up.

So much for the back up options these so called attention seekers have been talking about

Transfer window overview.

Arsenal fans - tinkled off. Only got a left back
Everton fans - tinkled off. Didn't get anyone
Spurs fans - tinkled off. Only got a midfielder

Nobody really strengthened. It's still pretty much evens.

fudge me the defeatism on this board really tinkles me off sometimes

we only have Defoe and Adebayor to call on up front? the same Defoe and Adebayor who have been apart of the team which see's us several points clear in 4th and 4 points behind 3rd? we have added what could well turn out to be a key player in midfield who seemingly has some of the attributes we have been missing in our play - we haven't lost any key players.
Arsenal are almost exactly the same as when the window opened.

what's the big panic?

Actually a valid point - but still depressing ;)

we are currently 4th having only had Defoe and an out of form Adebayor to call on up front so far this season, we have added what could well turn out to be a key player in midfield who seemingly has some of the attributes we have been missing in our play - we haven't lost any key players.

By tradition, Jermaine Defoe is always crap in the second half of the season. Adebayor has been crap all season.

There's the panic.

And the two moaniest gits in the league didn't strengthen at all.

Chelsea - Demba Ba for Sturridge
City - Balotelli gone. (might actually not be such a bad thing for them after all)

Liverpool the only ones in the top half to strenghten. Sturridge in and Cole and Sahin gone.

We have had lots of possession in games while struggling to make clear chances. You give Defoe, Dempsey, bale and to a lesser extent Ade the ball with just the keeper to beat they will normally score.

Holtby has been bought to address that and replace VDV. In his cameo the other night he looks like he could make a big impact too!
