The We8Campbell Memorial ITK Thread

Townsend is gone, No cover on the wings.

Holtby can play wide as can Dempsey. AVB prefers narrower play from wing-men anyway and has had bale and Lennon coming inside more than out this season.

Townsend needs development this is much better for him and our long-term future than having him stuck on the bench waiting for bale to be injured

Would like Townsend as cover but if he can get say 10 starts this season then that will do wonders for him and we can then see how good he really is.

It's not like Townsend did much covering anyway. Dempsey, Sig and Holtby will all get picked before he does.

Daniel Levy is a fudging bellpiece.

All he has done today is unnecessarily weaken our squad.

This TW confirms for me that he sees us more as a business than a football club

Name me one other club that treats their fans as proper valued supporters?

Sunderland - banned over 30 ST holders for persistant standing in their version of the Park Lane.
Man United - Floated on the stock exchange..
Arsenal - £62.

A football club has to be approached as a Business now. It is run and driven by money, simple.
You cannot go out spending brick loads especially after we just made a £4M Loss.
How much do you think we pay out in wages per week, and how much do you think we make in revenue per week?

Lets not get into a Levy discussion but he is the best thing to happen to us for a long, long time.
Just look at the Venkys as a good example. The saying the grass isnt always greener?

I see your point, however i also think that if any other club were in our striker situation, we would have brought one in long before the TW deadline day.

Nottingham Forest just got billionaire owners from the Middle East. They've managed to fudge up years of hard work in a matter of weeks and turn the club into a circus. Leeds finally got some consortium to buy them. Doesn't look they have any money to invest after all.

Same here... just got a feeling about it.

I think it over sadly. Not many places left to buy from, most of the European leagues stopped trading at 6PM or so.

Anyone arriving now would be likely to be not very good, and we already have enough not very good strikers.

It's pretty much how it's been all window. Anyone coming in will either be ridiculously overpriced or have to come from a club in financial crisis.

I wonder.....:(
