The We8Campbell Memorial ITK Thread

Today has been a total fudging failure.

Were a striker light, and a DM light.

Levy has well and truly fudged up, if we get top 4, it'll be a total fudging miracle.

The only positive today is Alex Pritchard signing a new contract.

And Jenas leaving too. Useless ****

That hoody dude looks seriously weird.

Transfer window overview.

Arsenal fans - tinkled off. Only got a left back
Everton fans - tinkled off. Didn't get anyone
Spurs fans - tinkled off. Only got a midfielder

Nobody really strengthened. It's still pretty much evens.

us and the goons should be happy, we have both strengthened.
Holtby (judging by his cameo) looks like the real deal. Yes we didn't get a new striker, which is annoying. But Holtby certainly makes us stronger in midfield and by the look of it, stronger in mentality.

The Goons, they have just signed someone so that they don't have to play Andre Santos - strengthened!

Daniel Levy is a fudging bellpiece.

All he has done today is unnecessarily weaken our squad.

This TW confirms for me that he sees us more as a business than a football club
That was last January ;)

But I agree that we once again has failed to strengthen siginficantly in January at least. It would have been interesting if we actually took a gamble on a big signing or two in January one year in an effort to really take a step forward. We seem to fail to take advantage of the good position we are in (in terms of league position) too often. Making a big signing or two could perhaps make the difference.

Nothing much seems to be going on at the other big clubs either though. Seems like a slow market.

look at it this way - Holtby comes in - we switch back to 1 up front with him playing in behind and all of a sudden our striking options are strengthened.

before - Defoe and Adebayor in a 442 of sorts, Dempsey on the bench
now - Holtby and Adebayor in a 4XX1 with Defoe/Dempsey on the bench

He has fudged us up so bad over the years that we're no longer fighting against relegation, but competing for a top 4 spot instead. What a failure.

Were on the brink of becoming an established top 4 team, we are in an important transition of moving into a new stadium where we need CL money to help us pay for it and sustain ourselves in the top 4.

We need a striker to ensure we dont lose our place in the top 4, so Levy leaves it until the LAST POSSIBLE MINUTE to sign one, then tries to be a tight fudging **** too.

He has done great things for us, but i want him gone now
