TOTTENHAM vs. ASTON VILLA - OMT

Great to see Scotty P back in action. Be interesting to see how AVB incorporates him into the starting eleven.
 
Parker protecting the back 4 again is so beautiful to see. He runs around and finds space for a pass 9 times out of 10 and it eases pressure on our defenders.
 
Great result and I thought it was a good performance but much more clinical second half.
 
At last, a half of football where we actually showed some tempo, some desire for goals and some speed and urgency instead of looking clueless and devoid of ideas, as has been the norm for much of the season.

Of course, Villa are truely woeful, but what the hell, its made my christmas. Hopefully its not back to square one in the next game.

That game was all about one pass from Naughton, putting Defoe in for a neat finish.

After that they had to open up.

It seems our reputation is "too big" nowadays, loads of teams just shut up shop and we don't have space to use the pace of Bale and Lennon and we struggle.

We need a clever ball player for games like that, someone to create in tight spaces.
 
Second half we upped our pressing game, Villa made mistakes, turned over possesion and we scored. Why dont they play like in the first half? Chalk and cheese, looked like they were sleep walking!

why are we so crap at home?

im going on new years day the only good new year day i have seen is when we played man u and won and i think that was about 15 yearss ago not sure when it was
