I thought we played well today tried everything without getting too stretched what impressed me was a couple of times in the first half both Gallas and Verts made good forward runs to provide the extra man, we just lack a little composure in the last third, Swansea will upset a lot of teams this year they are difficult to play against, the signs for us look promising.
I think for the first time this season we are top 4 and it is in our own hands that we stay there.
The last few minutes were not good for my heart but we held on and Hugo did not have a save to make. (Great punch by the way, that will make one or 2 strikers have a think before challenging him.)
Thought all our players (including the subs) were OK to good.
Special mentions for Gallas and Townsend and The Sigg obviously enjoyed himself against his former team mates. (Was that possibly a thought behind the decision to drop Caulker?)
A good performance against Stoke and I will have high hopes for the rest of the season.

Quote of the day from Graham Roberts at half time (when talking about 'that' tackle on Charlie Nicholas all those years ago). "I remember the pitch was a bit icy, Nicholas got the ball on the wing and I just helped him into Row 4". Quality!!
Most of all today I was impressed with how we pressed Swansea from start to finish. Leon Britton was afforded no time on the ball at all. Ade, Sandro, Dembele superb in that respect today.
The match officials should stop the game when Michu was accidentally hit. But, somehow, I think the funny show put on by Chico minutes earlier trying to con a free kick might have played in their mind. The laws on simulation should be made clearer and such theatrics should also be allowed to be carded, and it will be easier for match officials to decide whether it's a real injury or not.

Great day down the Lane today although yet again the atmosphere seemed a little too flat untill we scored.
Well battled by the lads tho played really well today. Swansea played well too and scared us a couple times.
Also Sandro Beast now has a partner in Hugo Beast lol

My thoughts from watching the game at close quarters were:
Defoe's movement was really not good enough. Too much loitering about hoping the ball would come to him.
Andros made a difference when he came on, as he has both pace and dribbling ability. And used both to good effect.
Despite the shot stats we still looked lacking when we get to the edge of the box. It just needs a player who can beat a player in a tight space, or two players on the same wave length.
Sandro really is all over the pitch. Phenomenal energy. As a destructive player he is world class. If he works on his distribution, and the more creative side of his game, he could be one of the best all round midfielders in the world.
And well done Lloris for coming out for two punches at the end when things got a little panicky. Although not as panicky as in some recent games, which is a good sign.

I somehow think the decision not to stop the game and his theatric has some linkage, nice to see Walker showing some temper

Generally it was a really poor game although we were the ones trying to win (which would make sense seeing as we were at home).
I did think we struggled to create much and we will continue to do so against teams like Stoke for example who will come to defend it out. We really need some creativity and im sorry but Ade needs to buckle up fast as I thought he was real brick today bar one or two decent moments. He is better than that and we have all seen it.
Im still worried what will happen when we concede first as like i have said we seem to score first - which is a pretty brilliant thing to have actually. Also the panic at the end in games needs to change. I loved Lloris today for going out twice being assertive and taking out their players - it was a fair challenge and shows how strong the guy is.

I think the one thing Bale's injury has taught us is that Ade and Defoe don't work as a pair. It has to be one or other once Bale is back (I'd suggest Ade in tough games, Defoe in easier ones).

Always a nicer drive back up the M6 and M1 after a victory. Created a lot of chances and certainly deserevd the 3pts, but still not quite in full flow just yet. Great to be back in 4th again, considering how we have played in the first half of this season, that is a massive bonus.

Sweeping statements like 'X and X can't play together, this game proves it' are one of the most annoying things ever.
That punch from Lloris was excellent, nice to have a goalie who attacks and gets the ball as we've been at opposite ends of that lately with Gomes coming but missing all the time and Friedel remaining rooted to his line.
I think we can really press on defensively once our players come back and we can get a settled back 4.
