"If you are at Spurs and you could play for Manchester United in the Champions League, which he has always wanted to do, then fair enough.

But there are ways of going about it."

That's the bottom line for me. The rest of the quotes from Woodgate are pretty damning as well and don't leave much room for interpretation.

The only people who deny he did it, are those who clearly rate the player above the club.

We know he refused, and playing dumb because he was "sooooooo sublime" is plain nauseating.

Me too. Love Ade, but Berbs was special, goals, free kicks, link up play and he was a cool as could be.
Loved him - and despite the manner of his leaving, I'm prepared to believe it was over hyped in the press.

Get him back

While I think he could be a joy in this set up, I dont think I would get him in at Ades expense myself

Totally different players, and I think Adebayors athletisim has brought so much to our side I wouldnt want to lose it.

Apologies for starting a new thread but couldn't find one regarding the growing support for bringing him back home where he belongs....

Seems like such a logical move. Last year of contract and he won't be getting any game time for United, could surely be had for £5m~

Berbatov, Adebayor and Defoe would be a great forward line

I would have this sign ready for him

He left under a cloud and messed up the start of our season. We did get a lot of money for him. Also, he still gave us those magic moments and its sad seeing him
wasted at Man U. £5m for him is great business.

The level of hate aimed at him by some seems to be on a par with Campbell.
