Yeh absolutely, clubs seem to be operating in a try and see mentality now so that market wil adapt. Otherwise 5m and wages in like 300k a week for a striker on loan, ridiculous ask IMO

Not sure how you came to that conclusion. Fulham need a striker. Chelsea want their striker to play as many minutes as possible. Fulham didn't have to take the deal.
£5 mil is the difference of 2 league positions.

Broja plays 9 games and is absolutely horrendous and then gets injured. Last day of the season Fulham play a relegation battling team, whilst they are safe. Broja can barely muster a jog, but Fulham play him because its worth £4m to them. They unexpectedly lose and their opponent stays up at the expense of another team. Thats corruption
That's not corruption. Chelseas decision to loan fulham borja would not have been based on getting that team relegated. Fulhams decision to loan him would have been because they think he strengthens them. He could score a hattrick in that game. Playing him might even mean chelsea fail ffp. Which could mean a points deduction, which could mean fulham finish above chelsea the following season.
As i said. Fulhams incentive will still be to finish as high up the league as they can. Because you get £2.5m per position in the table.

It strikes me that Chelsea want Fulham to provide a shop window. Play him sufficiently to show other clubs that Broja is worth a decent transfer fee next summer.

It'd be ideal for Fulham to give a big public shop window in which Broja does very little and shows that Chelsea can, at most, expect £15 million rather than £50m
