And not following runners into the box, second goal winks just stood there watching the ball as the scorer ran past him and headed it in.

We were vacant in there all game. I’d be surprised if we see those 2 together again in there.

I think Hugo made very little effort for the second goal too, it went in quite near him and his arm wasn't extended

at the other end, again, good balls into the box were not attacked, the one time Kane did get to the near post he fudged his timing up

We had 2 and 3 recently and we played worse, a lot worse. So 1 is the way, that or sell 20 players.

We're seeing different things. Today I thought some of his pressing and covering was really good because second half we tried to get further up the pitch and he gave little away. The jokers on the other side of Romero looked like an accident waiting to happen all game.

For me, he's been very good since Conte came in. I guess different people see different things.

What sort of grading system is that? Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha are Leeds players who would walk into our team!

Romero > Dier > Sanchez.

I’m not his biggest fan but I’ve heard little critique of Davies since he’s played LCB.
 
We need 3 in midfield. We don’t have enough in there. Wolves will be better than SCBC.

I was surprised Conte did not change it at HT

No the football brain has been an issue for a while. Romero and Bentacur showed the difference in this game with almost every touch and decision they made.

I think it's a combination of your two points. If you stand off us and give us 15m per pass, even donkeys like Sanchez, Winks, Davies et al will look like passable players. And sometimes teams do because they fear Son, Kane et al on the counter.

If you press us, even a little bit, those brainless donkeys collapse and fold like a pack of cards. Soton tried it. They got 4 points off us this season because of it.

It seems like we've only added to that problem with Royal and Hojbjerg, two more players who have concrete cinder-blocks for feet.

The problem only grows because the other players who we rely on, Dier et al, are also like this. I can't think of one press-resistant player in our entire side - no one can keep the ball when pressed.

Both full backs (not wing backs) are competent defenders. It’s a complete waste of time persisting with the as wing backs.

The only time we had control in the midfield it was then Kane droped down… I know Conte whant to play this way but if you dont have the team for it you need to change things

Reguilon is alright going forward. He made his name as an attacking full-back for Sevilla - for us, he just arrives in the box too late + too exhausted from chundering up field, and misses as a result.

But you can tell that we look for him as an instinctual release when breaking - we play the ball into spaces we expect him to be in.

Royal? fudge no.
