Harry Kane MBE

Meh usual click bait, dont think any spurs fan can hate Harry Kane for what he has done for this club over the last few years. If he goes and we get £160M then i wish him well, if he stays and still performs then great will support him as usual. He hasnt come out saying anything bad about the club etc, so what happens happens.

Hate flimflam articles like that. Other fans always dislike the better players and when we see Kane buy a free kick we cheer, when a rival does it we react negatively. Dele used to be the player other fans disliked more. I’m sure there are some who will find a reason not to like Heung Min Son. Never hear a bad word about Sissoko or Winks though!

I see the Telegraph have been contacted by someone in Kane's party...

If any of that is true (massive "if") I don't understand what Kane's problem is.

He can leave - as soon as someone stumps up the asking price. If City had bid £3.50 and a bag of crisps (£3,50 for our innumerate European friends) then he wouldn't expect us to just accept the offer, so why would he with any other insultingly low number?

If Levy agreed Kane can leave if City pay £160M, then until City stump that amount up Kane can STFU.

If Kane agreed this with Levy and didn't set a figure, then he's as dumb as his brother.

The only scenario where Kane has a point is if he and Levy agreed a figure below what City have offered so far. I suspect if that were the case, Charlie would have got his crayons and his Fisher Price typewriter out and sent out a press release for us to all try and translate into English.

Walob,
So the club didn't go all out to win a trophy or for top four, why wouldn't they?

His successful time at spurs, er wtf, if it was successful why you want away?

The clubs have been negotiating for over year, if true (and lets say i have reservations)
city know exactly how much they will have to pay. I mean has Daniel Levy ever dropped his price, and by £60m!

And if the deal does not go through Harry will make his self available. How fudging noble of you Harry, like you have any option.

Its about you got these stories stopped, or distanced yourself from them, before you lose all respect, from everyone.

AND!

The Daily Melee whose shrieking headlines inform us...

Harry Kane accuses Daniel Levy of broken promises with Tottenham REFUSING to engage with Emirates Marketing Project despite £125m bid... as Spurs star insists holiday row was NOT his fault and hopes fans understand his desire to leave
    • Harry Kane is furious at Tottenham's rigid stance that he will not be sold
    • The talisman has made clear his desire to leave Spurs for Emirates Marketing Project
    • Sportsmail understands Kane is unlikely to make the trip to Portugal this week
    • City have made a huge offer to Spurs in the region of £125million for Kane
By Arsenal's Own SAMI MOKBEL FOR THE DAILY MELEE

What a complete, ham-fisted schittshow. Y'know, summa you chaps go off the deep end criticising agents. But this farce amply demonstrates why a player of Kane's magnitude needs a proper agent.

I don't like the tone and insinuation that £125million is a great bid that we should be eagerly accepting.

No chance, Lance. The free market has, by recent transactions from Chelsea and MancCity, dictated exactly what Kane is worth. And it's well north of that not-so-great bid.

You do know that it's not £125m straight up. It's something well below £90 million, over time, plus add ons. Possibly an unwanted player or two. A stray dog. And a very experienced tea lady. They're dikcing around with Levy and he's not having it.

Interesting. The Guardian says Kane will make his playing debut this season in the wilds of Portugal on Thursday.

But Arsenal's Own Sami Mokbel tells Daily Melee listeners (it's read aloud to them, innit):

However, Kane, 28, wants to regain the trust and faith of Spurs supporters — who appeared to turn on their talismanic striker during Sunday's 1-0 win over City — and vows to give 100 per cent if he is called upon.

Sportsmail understands Kane is unlikely to make the trip to Portugal for Wednesday's Europa Conference League play-off tie against Pacos de Ferreira.

Yeah, the Telegraph story also said that Kane may well not go to Portugal.
A lot of similarities between those two pieces...
