Just looking at the schedule and England are actually better off coming 2nd in our group.
runner up in group D plays runner up in group E (Slovakia, Spain, Sweden or Poland)
winner in group D plays runner up in group F (Portugal, France, Germany or Hungary)
After that it’s quarter finals and they should all be good teams.
obviously I’d take any sort of qualification though!

I’d settle for a crack at France in a knockout if we do get through. Other games I’d like to see at some point would include:
