Coronavirus

My aunt, a front line nurse, died from COVID 19. Her son could not be with her at the end to hold her hand. I have closed down people's livelihoods over the last few weeks people who were desperate to keep working to provide for their families.
I'd quit before I did that.

This is not equivalent to speeding, because by going from one end of the country to the other, while positive with Covid you risk bringing the infection to a previously infection free area.
One is increasing an already very small risk to other people by an immeasurably small amount, the other is.....?

He had a part in making the law and he should be bound by it like everyone else but he has a higher degree of responsibility because he is part of the "authorities." If he has broken it and shows no remorse for doing so he should be fired.
Doesn't appear as if he has broken any rules. If he has, let's not be the kind of people that give that much of a brick about an irrelevant level of risk to an irrelevant group of people.

Acknowledged by most if not all Torys as having won the last election for them with his advice and strategies. Seems like power to me.
That's respect and possibly a bit of fear. They can be linked with power but are not the same.

Dont like the man he reminds me to much of Bliar. But that was pretty classy, waited his time gave the guy his opportunity to make amends and then pounced.

If boris stays then this guy will annihilate him at the next election.

Shame he is a racist EU lover.

I sort of stand up for Johnson and cummlots because they want to leave the EU but i do miss the days when people who fcuked up got sacked. Of course that started with Bliar and the Iraq war he should have walked when he lied to us about that.

Did i tell you i hate Bliar.

Unless added in last hour or so there is flexibility.

People talk like he has gone up North with a brass band and a BBQ.

Also a lot hinges on theory rather than fact, I prefer to stick to fact.

Quite.

My wife and I briefly discussed what we would do if we were both ill with it, and taking the kids to parents was the only solution we could find too.

I doubt those breaking out for the beach in Southend and Brighton in week one and two were senior advisors And doubt any lost their jobs. So the status quo remains

I didn't ask for him to be sacked, I just want an acknowledgement that he took the tinkle

Check the guidelines released in March:

https://www.gov.uk/government/publi...-with-possible-coronavirus-covid-19-infection

Pay close attention to the bit about kids.

You are not this stupid, pretending you are to prove a point is understandable I guess.

Starmer is a 'racist EU lover'?

I don't believe that's what he was doing for a second. I just don't care.

Facts are that he hasn't probably broken any laws though, and they're a petty little nonsense if he has.

Yes. He loves the EU so he is a racist. I hate it and people on here have told me ut must be because i am racist so i assume strong feelings on it from the other side must also be motivated by racial hatred.

I wonder if he is on a football forum somewhere as racistEUlover quite a cool name to be fair.

Probably another one of those Bliar and Cameron weirdos who does not like football.

don’t forget he inexplicably loves his mum and cares for donkeys too, the absolute rotter

The mother thing i get but what is he actually doing with donkeys thats what i want to know.

You should never do anything with children or animals.

Trust him to go for donkeys as well, not a native species. Oh no that would not be good enough for Sir Keir, has to be foreign for him.

Starmer appears to have failed to read the guidelines in the same way the BBC has.
Starmer strikes me as the type that reads the guidelines at least twice. That rare bird who reads the readme file.

I've been quite impressed with him so far. He is one of the few that came out of the brexit fiasco with their reputation actually enhanced, and I also like his forensic dismantling of the hapless cabinet ministers during PMQs. And he doesn't want to kill his mum either.

We both know they have found some small print and concocted a story about child care. The fact you won't accept that they have amended the rules to suit them is your call. You know it is true though.

Good for you, luckily there are people who don’t run away from difficult decisions or situations.
One is increasing an already very small risk to other people by an immeasurably small amount, the other is.....?
Not to his elderly parents.

I don’t know the full details but he appeared to carry out a non essential journey from one end of the country to the other. I don’t care if he quits or not, but it was a terrible error of judgement, one of many by the those in charge of the pandemic.

I don't doubt he prepared correctly and pointed his eyes at the guidelines.

I simply believe he failed to read and interpret them correctly. The caveats are quite clear.
