I'm a big Harry Maguire fan....

Thought there were some good performances..Henderson was my MOM...liked most of the performances. Thought Rashford was a bit off the pace but should have had an apology from the ref at the end of the game.

Would agree about both Henderson and Maguire, but we both must be wrong about Henderson as he plays for L'pool and you know he must be crap because of that. ;)

That attitude is one my biggest bugbears in football today.
I'm huge admirer of the 'young' Winks, but some would have you believe he is the reincarnation of Cruyff.
Probably Perryman in his midfield role is a better example?

Blame it on the blue tinted glasses they must wear, i also can see the comparison with Perryman.

Pickford is too short (5'11"). It will always stop him being a top class goalkeeper. He just can't come for crosses.

What’s De Geas excuse then?
As good a shot stopper as he is (the best in the world) he deals with crosses and generally anithing on or outside his 6 yards box like a vampire ...

And Pickford is very similar

There's still 10 odd corners a game he can't deal with

Don't see many goals from corners in internationals as few teams have good headers of the ball. I don't believe many modern keepers come out and take the ball from corners, that's why they flap when they do. The stats men have probably worked out its better to stay home rather than come through the melee. I've seen plenty of giant keepers look mugs at crosses, its a myth that big blokes win clean ball in the air, many of them don't get far off the ground. Two of the best headers I've seen were Cliff Jones and Denis Law.

Balague - "These are a lot of things which require a long time to coach, and he won't have that. He doesn't have the midfield for what he wants to do, and the three up front are the type of guys who could create something out of nothing, but could equally go missing for 90 minutes, too. They are too individualistic and do not work for the midfield."

He pretty much has put how I felt about the first 60 minutes into words. I felt that our front three caused chaos with their running and that chances came haphazardly, not consistently as a result of any plan.
