Alright fair enough just being silly is all.

I just can't see them making such a silly mistake and it being that much of a problem based on what I've seen. When I was standing in those corners during the fan events I didn't particularly notice the slope being that bad/short, the short distance from the byline to the advertising hoardings looked a lot worse to me in fact. Time will tell I guess.

I think they will do something to make, for example, the corner spaces bigger so we can take proper corners. Not forcing our players to compromise on a corner kicking technique in a state of the art stadium.

As I keep saying, I’m sure it is actually going to be fine, and I am positive the club has thought it through. I just can’t get my head around people saying that it would be fine or an advantage if we couldn’t do basic things like take a set piece in the normal way. To me, that does look and feel budget.

What you're missing is the fact that you're not an engineer or a stadium designer.. You're speculating on an issue based on isolated photos from odd angles. You don't even know that it will be a problem.

I prefer to put my trust in the club and the professionals who designed and built the fudging thing, but apparently that makes me a happy clapper.

Let's wait until the first test game before we lose our fudging minds eh?

Again, I’ve also put my trust in the club, and I know I’m not a stadium designer. I assume things will be fine. I have no problem with that - only with the idea that less than perfect would be ok for our state of the art stadium, or an advantage for our players.
 
I seem to remember something about the first few rows not being used for Fans at European games due to a requirement (advertising I think!). Does anyone know if this was specific to WHL or a general requirement that will impact the new WHL?
 
Its a general requirement (I believe) that the advertising boards are of a certain size, larger than usual. And so the first few rows have a restricted view and are consequently not used.

At least, thats what I have in mind - stand to be corrected.

I would imagine, that being the case, we just built the larger hoardings into the new stadium design so it shouldnt be an issue.

A lot of it comes from trying to retrofit new regulations into 100 year old stadia doesnt it?

Makes sense.

So talking of turning potentially hindrances to home advantages, could our improved away form be due to playing on a bigger pitch more often and not having a home comfort to miss as much? Every cloud and all that...

It effects' most grounds including Wembley
The sponsors don’t want a fans face disrupting the TV viewers perception of their logo
