*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Leicester City ***

What a strange game but then most of our games this season have been a bit odd.
Absolutely made up for Sonny. It's funny that we always think of him as quite a happy cheery type but I think there are some demons in there that need some extra motivation at times, like being benched.
I thought Kane looked much more like himself today particularly towards the end with some beautiful touches.
Hopefully as the season goes on performances will improve and we'll actually play a solid 90 minutes where things click properly.

Yep, there is. It doesnt feel like we're playing to our potential at the moment so 17 points after 7 is a nice position to be in

There's a couple other tweaks to the squad next summer which would also take us on another level

its on this year if we can kickstart Kane too

City still have that CL pressure, they took their eye off the PL last season and nearly threw it away

Ha ha I couldn`t see that scoreline coming at half time. I was moaning like a bitch about some of our passing and general play, and where were these subs against Sporting?
Mind you the 2 goals we conceded were down to crap defending not great play from Leicester. First one was Davo and the second was down to how week Sess was

if anything this game shows why kane can't lead the line anymore - he is slower and is more easily dispossessed.
also it demonstrates that son is best attacking space - something we stopped doing since the end of last season, preferring highly controlled games.
putting both together, kane should be up for set pieces for headers, otherwise should be dropping deep to lure defenders out and allowing Son to attack the space behind. like we did last season so well.
however, i think kane wants the golden boot and his contract situation may mean that he has more say than son at the moment. so maybe a dilemma for conte and paratici. however if we don't win something we might lose either or both to more ambitious clubs. who would you rather lose? kane or son?

What a horrible question. It would have to be Son because of that ability to drop off and control games that H has, would Sonny be the player he is without Kane? Possibly not, Kane on the other hand is a step up in terms of his reading of the game so all round more valuable to the whole than Son, but obviously the answer is neither.

The table is ridiculous us and City are the only unbeaten teams, our goal difference is decent and yet it doesn't seem like we've really got started yet, something to be pretty positive about really.

Arguably it's better to be where we are, knowing we can improve our performance levels than it would be to be all guns blazing and wondering if we can maintain that level

I know a few Spurs fans who said they would 'take one for the team' and remove Son from their FF team. Hats off to them and anyone else that did.

I did the opposite a few weeks back and put Jesus in mine, and IIRC he hasnt scored since.

A few said Son needs a goal, even if its a scrappy one or a tap-in. I think the fact it was a belter to get him off the mark is fantastic. Such a shame we have a 2-week break, or maybe it might give Conte to work on our passing with those not on International Duty
