****OMT****Tottenham Hotspur v West Ham 8pm Friday 5th May

You know, sounds douchy to say it, but we're basically seeing the difference between us and chelski today. We're just not good enough at grinding out wins in these bricky matches.
I think we've ground out a few. Chelsea are doing a Leicester, brick team on a lucky run.

was fun while it lasted
still happy with everything (despite today's perfomance ofc) and think we'll be bak to normal next weekend against Man Utd.

Played into West Ham's hands tonight

Long balls
High crosses
Slow tempo
Not up for fight

Really don't get Dembele not starting tonight

Massive massive game next week

Add to that tinkle poor corners and free kicks. Eriksen didn't show up unfortunately.

Lol how the hell did we lose against this shower of brick? Lol at their stadium, when the ball goes out it takes 30 seconds to get it back into play. Ridiculous.
Disappointed but at the same time extremely proud of our team and the season we've had. COYS!!!!

This is on Poch. He gets the praise when we win.
Everyone could see the problem with Dier and Wanyama in central midfield together after a few minutes.
He didn't change anything. We were never gonna create with them trying to dictate the tempo.
Dembele didn't come on until the 65th fudging minute!

We looked good for about 15 minutes then.

West Ham kept playing balls in behind Walker and Davies when they went forward. the obvious thing was to play 3 at the back and have another defender sitting deep to deal with it. Poch's eventual solution was to move Dier to centre half and hope his superior pace over Vertonghen could it.

Dele all spent most of the game stuck out wide. Why not the the 343 and have him right there next to Kane who was completely isolated until the end.

He left all his changes til too late and took West Ham away for granted. I still don't think he understands London football and how they feel about this fixture.

Well. These are the games that make you champions or losers. We played brick but still should have had the passion to grind out a result. Same scenario different season. I actually thought if we were to lose a game we would lose to a lucky man u side or a difficult trip to leicester. But not these bell ends. Lets just get the point needed for second and plan next season without any major disruptions to the squad and if anyone wants to leave they can go abroad and not be sold to anyone in the premier league since they love coming back to haunt us.

Difficult game for us. They defended well and got their lucky goal. If Kane had finished that one in the first half I think we could have got a few.
Needed someone who could beat his man 1v1 to make something happen today.

That's Football gents , Lucky bounce bit of pinball in box they score. Spent a good part of game with 11 men in their own third. Wet spam played some industrial dog brick tonight and got lucky. They were industrial at best

If they were industrial, how would you describe our performance? We did nothing to really test them. They made fools of our defence several times.

And we are getting stronger. It's boring but we're still the youngest squad in the division.

there's still a lot of experience in that team, a few league winners, regular internationals

it's the seasoned players that aren't doing it

Terrible, from 1 to 11 (actually, Lloris had a decent game), from start to finish. Poch and the players seemed to freeze. But we also played badly against West Ham at home and got away with it, so I suppose we were owed that. We've been on a great run in the league, bound to lose eventually.

However...we are the best team in the league when it doesn't matter. But give us a must-win at Wembley in Europe or The Cup, give us a chance to get within a point of the top or go top, we seem to mess it up every time.

We are a very talented team and we will continue to win lots of games, but I can't see us winning anything when it comes to the crunch. I don't know what's missing from the team to solve that, but it is so frustrating. Maybe just be happy that we over achieve to do as well as we have? Because to be so near yet so far feels horrible.

Other than Toby and maybe Hugo, who is 'seasoned' - and by that I mean in the prime of their careers?

Quite simple sat in clumped balls long quickly on counter and looked to expose defence. We were poor 100% but they were industrial packed up the centre of park .we did not turn up.

Differing opinions for me.

Finishing 2nd would be our best league finish for over 50 years. I think that counts for something
To some of us that does, and it is a concrete improvement on our finish from last season (plus we already have our record points total). To others it's just being 'first loser'.

We have ridden our luck in some games recently. Swansea in particular but also Crystal Palace. But remember West Ham at home as well.

of all the places.

And now the pressure is on to get the last point we need. At least we can all stop the title talk and just concentrate on securing 2nd

Surely we won't do what we did last season and lose the last few games? We must secure 2nd place and we should aim to do it in our last ever game at the lane.
