Georginio Wijnaldum

Nothing more than to bring the thread back on topic. He's currently away with the rest of the squad (minus Sissoko) in Ireland. I'll be joining them on Saturday for our first game.

Ok.
Money for fee aside, who would be a bigger loss if they left: Wijnaldum or Sissoko?

They are both pretty much despised by the majority of our fan base. Wijnaldum offers nothing in general play but will pop up with goals in mini spells then go missing and do nothing for 10 games. Sissoko's power and directness can be an asset but he is often accused of being lazy and unmotivated. Then again anyone would be like that being managed by clowns like Pardew and McClaren. He was much improved under Rafa. All in all we don't have any need or desire to sell either so unless somebody comes up with silly money they will both have to stay.

Has anyone contacted Messrs Gold and Sullivan?

That's all they've doing this summer. Hart, Pelle, Scheiderlin etc.
Well yeah, the exact same scenario we've had every year of trying to get players who would improve the team but have to wait until the CL level clubs have done their business before seeing what's left. Is it really a coincidence we appear to be getting our players in earlier now we have CL to offer? Hmmm....

In their case I think it's more of a West Ham approach. Fake interest in every decent player going to appease fans, then say you tried your best.

Can't agree with that myself. They have a new investor with a lot of cash to spend and a very good manager who will want quality players.....

We don't really know how much he has or is willing to spend. They do have a very average manager who loves splashing it though.

Have they really for a lot to spend!!!

The guys worth £1.1b which really ain't mega in football terms. Not when he has to fund a new ground and their capped on their wage increase too

They will spend but I fully expect them to bring in more than they sell

He proved at Southampton he is not average. Did better there than Poch did whilst having to sell all their best players.
