agree on the Ajax template - but it's something which should be put in place from the ground up, not the other way around
Maybe, but I think it can be adopted across the board at all levels of the club simultaneously. Obviously it will take time to bed in and it won't be an easy undertaking, but I don't think we have to organically grow into the style as a club. I believe there are players on the senior playing staff that could and would adapt to the style reasonably quickly, and obviously Eriksen and Vertoghen are already well versed in what is needed.

I really hope not. Despite me saying that Moyes is better than Sherwood, surely we didn't endure six months of Sherwood to end up with a lazy appointment? Especially not after the AVB lesson.

****. This is bad news.

Somehow our club seems to get shafted by outside events a lot.

I was about to say exactly this.

Food poisoning.
Chelsea's fluking of the Champions League and subsequent signing of Hazard at our expense.
Olympic Stadium fiasco
And potentially Man Utd doing TOO badly this season.

We MIGHT miss out on one possible candidate. Nothing to be slitting our wrist for. This excessive amount of expectation towards the next guy will just come back to bite us in the ass when it turns out he isn't some all conquering messiah. He might still be a pretty darn good coach though. What's important is to get someone who's suited for this club, not just getting the biggest name possible.

Very very good point.

no we must stamp our feet and cry about Levy not signing him up 5 years a go

I dont think United will go for LVG. I think they will want someone younger who can build a dynasty akin to Fergies. Or could be LVG with someone like Giggs as his protege. Its what I would have liked at Spurs with TS under LVG. Instance success (potentially) with good succession planning.

a 'quick fix' until they find the right guy to build the dynasty would be my guess and suitable for both parties.

I'm sure we have a manager lined up. No other reason than having to endure TS for 6 months unless an excellent choice has been agreed for the summer.

A friend of mine saying he'd prefer we hire Moyes if he gets the sack at United. Can't say I agree. Would be a horrible appointment.

Well next season is important for a lot of teams. I can see the current top four dragging themselves away from the rest if us and Manure (even Everton) dont improve (although Everton have tenfold)

Gonna be fascinating next season I think

There is no reason why Manure would make a decision to sack Moyes now UNLESS they got whiff that we are close to LVG.

Talkshiite radio saying reports coming in that Moyes about to be sacked.

If so I hope all those that are convinced LVG is coming to us are down the church/mosque/temple putting the hours in.
