**** Tottenham Hotspur (We Go Again) v Wolves ****

They didn't do what I said. That's why they failed.

Who we would have won if we went out youth team instead of our 1st team?

You realise you're mocking yourself as well as the first team in this ill fated prediction? How fudging stupid are you to do both simultaneously, as well as inadvertently on both counts? Honestly, answer the question. It's like Clarkson / Farage rolled in to one GHod almightily horrendous poster.

Please don't mock genius simply for it being out of your grasp. It does nothing for you or anyone else here.

Leicester are dogbrick. Our third string are good enough to beat them if they play to their ability. First team didn't, second or third string probably would have done.

Free lesson. You're welcome.

I would suggest that there has been so many Leicester type results over the last few years that there are too many first teamers that shouldn't be.

If you truly believe that our 2nd / 3rd string would have beaten them but our "1st string" didn't, you've reached the pinnacle of being clinically insane, well done. The idea literally makes no sense. Why didn't you just take the easy route and chalk it down to mediocre banter rather than just outing yourself as a total macaron, you total fudging macaron :D

Edit - Apologies, the outing yourself comment would infer it wasn't already known you were a fudging macaron. Three points in the bag, oh how wise and superior you are lol

Well as long as you realise that and repented that's ok :).
But seriously, I think we were unlucky to lose today, we had several good chances, dominated for decent spells and on other day we win that.
My most oft repeated post of late has been "its not the defeat that hurts but the manner of the defeat'.
I can't honestly say that today, i didn't see a lack of effort or us not turning up.
We coughed up another soft goal from the edge of our box, that's annoying because it has been happening a lot of late. It’s doubly annoying because that felt like their game plan, how many pot shots did they have from outside the box?

Our passing through a press has improved massively. But we need more coordination, guile and effective width when we get to the opposition goal. A possession game was needed, but it often allows the opposition to get back into possition, and we’re not yet good enough in the final third to unlock set deep deferences regularly. Although as you say in this game - and last - we were 90% there. Fatigue of Kulu, Kane, Son is a thing, as is missing Conte who’d shout at the team to be more direct and incisive at HT.

PEH looking dead on his feet around 60 also a core reason for the loss with fresh players dancing around him.

Part of this is persistence to persevere with the favourites and ignore the green shoots of positive change. Skippy and Sarr were great in Milan, I'm sure they could have give us fresh legs today and you have more chance they can match the demands of the games coming thick and fast and get PEH back in for Milan, Son sounded better today but Richy was excellent on the left the last game he played there and Kane rested in week so Son could have had a rest.

Conte may not have been there and that seen as a problem, for me his lack of structure to the changes he makes is more of a problem.

You can make subtle changes to match demands whilst keeping a key enough core to win games. Conte seems to either not change or change to an extreme

I agree. If we were winning our other games, people would have said today was unlucky. Because we're stop-start, they're calling this performance a shambles. The fact of the matter, however, was that Wolves created fudge all and we had some decent chances, which the xG (0.44 - 1.34) and the general picture of the game bears out.

And Forster needs to start pushing the ball to the sides. All his saves put the ball right back into play down the middle or our area.

I think it is because Forster is a poor keeper now so just saving those type of shots is all he can muster, him pushing them to the side etc is a luxury with a keeper of that level.

They're first teamers because they're better than the alternatives. Doesn't mean they'll always be on form though.

If the better players always won, City wouldn't drop a single point all season. We'd lose in the semi final of every cup, every year.

He's not great. He could improve his chances by using his bulk to to come out and clatter forwards more often.

I've got a ticket for the Milan game but is there any point in going? The cup loss switched me right off Spurs, with today's loss being all too predictable. I just wonder if, with this ownership, we will always be in a state of permanent transition in the first team, always behind the curve, always with weaknesses in key positions, keeping players far too long etc. As for Conte, has his bubble burst? Losing twice in a season to Arsenal is woeful...

Instead we lose at earlier stages.

The level of flimflam you kid yourself with is both hilarious / terrifying in equal measures, I'm not even sure what you trying to achieve with your general delusion but I should thank you for running the forum in which I and many can vent their anger at our entirely bizarre club..

You're sincerely advising that our "Third team" / reserves are better than Leicester's first team and as such, would have won? It's like suggesting because today is Saturday, tomorrow is going to be Tuesday, beyond stupidity, but you're not going to own up to it, because fudgein because.lol.

Mentioned it previously but going to struggle to find the enthusiasm to go again this season after Milan, and i say that as a long term ST holder who goes away and in europe - accumulation of things, not purely football related but the game midweek really has left me thinking what's the point atm

I'd like us to get rid of Conte and get someone that will play better football and give younger players a chance (at least pick the team on merit). Our current rebuild will take a few more windows, but I'm happy to do it under Levy. Not so sure about our current manager.

They better show up on Wednesday! I'm spending more than £1000 to come see that game. I want a bloody good performance and a win. Or at least one of the two!
