** OMT - Tottenham Hotspur v Brentford **

Thought we really deserved at least a point there. First half wasn't great but I thought we were a little unlucky to be behind. Second half we were excellent. Really dominant.

The gifting of goals and leads is very worrying and Conte needs to sort it. We saw against Liverpool that you can't keep doing it. But we bemoaned mentality for a long time. We showed it again today. I feared for us before the game and I feared we could lose 3 or 4 at one point after the second went in but we pulled it out of the fire. Perisic, Doherty, Kulu all did well I thought. Sonny is a real worry. He needs to get back a bit of form soon or we may be looking at a more permanent decline.

Shook my head when Sanchez came on for Tanganga but it was actually a really good sub. He was much better than Tanganga in defence and attack to be fair to him. Conte has a habit of those nothing looking subs that actually help turn the game for us.

Decent day's work. Not great but decent.

Saw it from some posters who are normally level headed. I know it can be frustrating but we were a goal down to a good side away from home. That happens. They whacked Chelsea and United FFS. We were unlucky to be behind at half time, they weren't that much better than us if any better at all.

you may not think too much of the critiques of individual players, but we have too many on the pitch who are not 100% contributing.... Ok to have 1 or 2, but today we have kane, son, dier, tanganga, peh sub-par for most of the game. adds up pretty fast and it looks we're 10 vs 11.

It's more that it is now getting a repeating pattern. If it was a one off the reactions wouldn't be as bad.

When we got the ball into Kane he did well, you can't expect a forward to do much when he doesn't get any service.

I don’t feel it’s about what Brentford have done to others . Chelsea and United have not been the sides to measure any result against this season.

Whilst I agree Brentford opening goal was lucky there was plenty wrong with the first 65 minutes. There is a pattern. It’s like watching the same performance week after week. It’s a problem regardless of the point. It’s not good enough really.

They were much better than us first half, let's not beat round the bush. They were getting lots of balls in the channels and people whack on about a deflection but ignore that they were queuing up on the far side.

People said before the game it would be a tough game, people can accept it but it's a theme for the season that we start really cold out the gate, it's literally every game. People are entitled to be frustrated at that TBH

Agreed. They were more agressive and sharper than us first half. We need to sort that out and fast. We're sluggish and i have no idea why.

I’d disagree they were much better than us. Did they have another chance in the first half?

Your point about the repeated slow starts is a very fair one though. Strange it hasn’t been sorted yet. It can’t continue because we won’t keep pulling rabbits from the hat.
 
Disappointing that we didn’t go on and win that after getting back to 2-2 with plenty of time to spare. It was all a bit helter-skelter. We lack the ability to control the tempo of the game. Plus our defence doesn’t inspire confidence, teams don’t have to be particularly inventive to create chances against us.
 
I don’t know why TV companies employ ex-referees to comment on contentious decisions. Today’s in-game ‘expert analysis’ of the Kane penalty incident was essentially, “There’s not enough in it for a penalty to be given, but if it that decision had been overturned that would have been correct.’

Are you saying we weren't dross in the first half? We really weren't any good in the second half either, but we never give up and keep grinding.
