**** OMT Arsenal v Tottenham Hotspur ****

It's skewed because we didn't get shots off in those breaks that Son wasted. Romero had a simple square ball that he messed up that should've led to a tap in.
These don't get added in xG which is it's major flaw.

And that is because of our mental block at these places, which coaches have to factor in. Our players are cowards who either freeze at the Emirates, or do incredibly stupid things like Emerson did.

So make the system safer, to account for this. Don't trust the players to play this way in these games - they *will* let you down. Play 3-5-2, and keep the ball more.

That goal was all about where was royal… off the fudging pitch because he was dumb and the ref was too
Of course that doesn't help but if he'd read the situation better and held his position Xhaka would have never been able to get a clear shot away.

In fairness royak is usually the safe option.
I'd rather have lost today playing spence and asking them questions than the passive rubbish we had today out wide.

Leicester kept getting luck their way and eventually fluked a title. I'm getting the same vibes off this lot - everything falling their way.

Thank GHod for Erling Haaland.

Nah still can't sed it tbh, but the sooner they are brought down to earth the better.

It was close
But he has hands and his body to stop it
It was poor and he should have dealt with the initial cross better too
maybe.
i think he could not see through two players marking saka and therefore could not anticipate the shot.

just on that, it was perisic's role to go for saka as a defender. he was a pussy all game.
son can't risk commiting himself lest saka rolls it across the front of goal.

I would too - I really want to see Spence given the license to attack, and would prefer to never see Emerson in a Spurs shirt again.

But for that to happen, we need Biss in the middle next to Hojbjerg and Bentancur imo, so we can better cover for Spence being given more license to attack out right.

You're over simplifying it. They had plenty of low quality chances, including the first goal. Our breaks were more dangerous and higher quality one on ones would've happened if Son could pass. It's two different philosophies, lots of low quality chances versus few high quality chances. If we push up we don't get those high quality chances.
I'm not arguing that it is a nice watch etc just that it wasn't the reason we lost today.
But Son can't pass or defend.
Of course if Son was on the end of the passes then that's a totally different matter.
Son was far too deep today trying to do something he can't.
