Mauricio Pochettino - Sacked

Liverpool have improved season on season, getting business done early and indetifyimg targets - even waiting a window or season to get it over the line.

I agree Liverpool have done well in the market, they spend massively on players they identify as first team targets and are prepared to wait a window or two for right player to become available rather than to buy players further down their list just to get bodies in - we can't really do the first and now we are seemingly not panic buying and are prepared to wait for the right player we are getting criticised for that too - go figure!

We may have just finished above them in the league last season but they have over taken us- CL final/start to this season whilst we have stood still and stagnanted.

We have seen a general trend of improvement over the past few seasons too, from 6th/5th to 5th/4th to 3rd/2nd - do we really have to lose our brick if we 'stagnate' for a year or two? Does that not come across a little entitled to you (never mind the fact the season is only 5 games in) especially with the off the field stadium issues we're going through? Do you not think it might be a case of cutting the club some slack whilst it steers itself through some testing times?

Why would I not believe the chairman- there was meltdown after being claimed him to be lying about knowing about the stadium

Would benefit would it be not to?

As already answered in previous posts - it would be of paramount importance to everyone that the club isn't seen as in a position of weakness financially speaking

Lying about the finances would be a worse stance to take, if he’s honest there would be no issue about not signing players.

He’s made the issue by saying the stadium won’t affect the budget and then DC saying it again a month ago so signings were expected.

Liverpool IMO are enjoying having no one at the WC of note

It says it all that in their fans opinion Wilnaldum has been their stand out player

Let’s see how it all pans out once teams have back to back games twice a week

For all the attacking dominance yesterday pool were a very dubious refereeing decision away from a draw.
That will be of concern for Herr Klopp

What when they can call on Fabinho who’s class and hasn’t even featured yet and bring back in Henderson? Whereas we look tired even playing one game a week....

It’s because their quite wasteful
And when you score s them they have no one leading that team on the pitch.
It’s why they won’t win the league IMO

We were poor yesterday without a doubt, but to hear some of the knee jerking is barmy. imo

To be fair, most have been fairly pragmatic and think like me we need to get our heads down a work through mental tiredness and the fatigue!

The goalkeeper is a subject of some angst from many, including myself.

Fair point, but as for Vorm he is a number two keeper and there are not may better back up keepers around. All i heard after the game yesterday was how he was to blame for BOTH goals and that is kneejerk, the first one i agree he could have done more but the second was down to our defender who tried to intercept the cross which Vorm had covered.

I would expect a goalie at this level to be able to catch the ball when it bounces past him like that at least sometimes. But it's definitely not a huge error for me.

You are kind!
His handling on the ground for the second was woeful and I’m being very kind!
He looks a bag of nerves!

He was already into the dive and the deflection left him in the wrong position to get any more that a grab at the ball, very harsh ( imo) to suggest he could have done more.

Jan was anxious as he didn’t know what Vorm was doing.

He then should have picked up the rolling ball

First sentence may be true, second sentence i disagree. He had to twist round from his first dive which he would have collected the ball ( if Jan had not made contact) and to blame him for that is wrong ( imo).

To be honest, he could have done better for both. However, he also pulled off some good saves. Had we gotten out of yesterday with anything, it would have been daylight robbery.

Blaming individuals for yesterday is wrong. As a team, we just weren’t as good as them. While Hugo would probably have saved both goals, Liverpool would still have beaten us yesterday. The game would have panned out differently but their dominance would have told.

Vorm is fine as a backup keeper.

Fair points.
