Not quite 91% either in passing accuracy or percentile but close. More importantly and interesting are his progressive pass numbers, of which they are quite good coupled with his pass numbers suggest a player who gets on the ball a lot, is fairly accurate with their passing and is also will to play dangerous balls.

That doesn't sound like a great stat to use, when risk acceptability of the pass isn't considered.

I.e - your goalkeeper should have 100% accuracy, whilst your lock-picking playmaker may be 40%, but they only need to make the one or two that really count.

I agree that's my problem with stats, most lack context.

I like stats but you have to watch the player as well to see the context like you say of those stats. Also I don't think you can look at individual stats as they really don't paint much of a picture, you have to look at them in granular detail but most importantly watch the player themselves.
Paul Clement says the same in a podcast with Graham Hunter.
(He is an English professional football manager and coach. He has been assistant manager to Carlo Ancelotti several times – at Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich). He helped the team / Ancelotti win the Champions League.

And the system they play in

Fair point and i do not disagree, stats are a useful tool ( i worked with them in the game for many years) but they rarely give a true or full picture of an situation. Sadly because of all the " experts" in the social media world they are usually made out to be the full and true picture of all comparisons. There not and as you say a tool to be considered but not the full picture on most occasions.
